Would we? Maybe I'm the only one who likes the salary cap for giving less wealthy owners and less lucrative markets a fair chance to compete. And maybe thats because I grew up under the old Oilers ownership who could never afford to keep star players.

But I'm kind of just at a loss as to why the NHL even has a salary cap if they allow this to continue to happen. At this point they might as well just adopt the MLB's system with a luxury tax and no real hard cap.
