Expecting a win here. Team is playing a bit better and Vegas is decimated.

So what forward is slower??? Watch him through a critical eye, not rose colored glasses.

I've been watching him. Speed has not been the issue. He's one of the fastest players on the team... I feel silly having to explain this.

Either way this will be my last reply to you since you clearly don't have a clue.

Been watching Leafs for a long time. He is trying to be a star and is failing. He is not a star until he starts winning. His personal life has changed him. He appears to think he has made it, financially he has, ice wise he has not.
Quit bring such a homer that you cannot see through the leaf glasses. 54 yrs of that.

Top five team in points since he joined the team... mostly a bunch of kids learning the ropes... Nylander and Matthews figured it out last playoffs, played great.... but Matthews had that injured wrist and couldn't shoot properly... I wonder, had Matthews shot at his normal rate, and put in an additional six goals... we likely make on to the next round and Marner likely has 10 points in 7 games against Montreal... does that change the picture somewhat?

Yes, Marner is trying to be a star... he is currently trying too hard, and over thinking... he's put too much pressure on himself, and needs to relax. He does need to learn playoff hockey, the way the other guys have, but then again, he's the setup guy, and if your shooter is broken, you aren't going to look good.

He's a star in this league.. McDavid is also a star, and also hasn't won anything...

meanngless vs real life situation. All this statistical mumbo jumbo is ruining sports. First baseball, football & now hockey. What about real life eye test....stats do not measure heart, grit, determination....theses characteristics are FAR more important than bs stats. am tired of seeing them to justify everything...especially losses.

Updated with confirmed lines for your convenience:

Was dumb to think that about the Pens anyways after they beat the Bolts 6-2 and took the Cats to OT with that same team.

There are no easy wins in this league anymore.
Right, so it's dumb for anybody to say it now as well. I'm 100% expecting a loss tonight lol

You just can't take 16 of a PP1 - no matter how much of a shit show it is because of reasons....

I think this will be more effective. Anywhere above the faceoff dot Mitch isn't a reliable threat to score. Yes Marner may never score on the PP again, but at least playing on the wall he's more comfortable playmaking and can be effective there. Nylander can (and has) reliably scored from that spot and is a good enough playmaker. Guys will go back to sagging closer to Matthews, but we haven't seen that patented Matthews shot anyway so for the time being it's whatever.
