I hope they give a video tribute to Amadio

I really wish Leafs played some strong teams who's not missing their best players

Kind of need to know how bad this team really is early in the season so we have enough time to pivot and fire that fake coach

Or how good they stack up against a contender? Come on man, hold the horses. Keefes made a ton of questionable decisions, but he’s tried a ton of different things. I never thought we’d see Matthews and nylander and here it is, better late then never I guess. You can’t just assume that 5 games makes this team shit. Give them at least 20 games like we did to Babcock before saying anything, good or bad

Isn't 2 seasons with medicore results not enough for you?

Losing to Habs after being up 3-1 ? I mean where does one begin with this guy

I have given this guy every benefit of the doubt you can give. He still can't figure out PP

If it wasn't for Auston's 60 40+ goals per year campaigns, which led to our fake regular seasons runs, this guy would have been gone long time ago

You can try all you like, if you don't get it, you don't get it.

Well it’s not all on keefe, he rolled with his guys, and they didn’t deliver. It’s his fault for deployment, it’s the players faults for deployment even being an issue. Everyone is to blame. Yes it is frustrating seeing this team crumble, and I’ve seen your posts before so I know you aren’t a troll or a leafs fanboy/hater. All I can really say is maybe it’ll work out, keefe being fired is the end of dubas, it has to be. He hasn’t built up the resume for surviving 2 coach firings. So I think we are gonna see keefe for a long time, even if we are losing, cuz rn it ain’t even his fault in the mlse eyes and media. It’s Marner Matthews nylander and Tavares combining for 18 points in 33 man games.

Leafs .. 9 games 4-4-1 record = 9 points with -8 goal differential
vs
Vegas ... 8 games 4-4-0 record = 8 points with -5 goal differential

If Vegas wasn't missing 1/2 their team tonight, this would look like a fairly close game on paper.

Are you serious. Marner is the slowest guy on the ice after Ritchie.
He is out of shape, too many date nights with his gal, too much money, too much social life.
He should be down to 4th line minutes until he proves he loves the game and can play at 10.5m like he did at 750,000.

It’ll probably be a close game anyway.

Overall, Vegas is not nearly as good as they once were, nor are they as entertaining to watch. They used to play with speed and tenacity and if you watched them last year they didn’t play like that at all and relied on Fleury.

Hopefully they get back on track.

20 years ago that would have worked. Players back then were built differently
Players back then would have taken as a feedback

You demote a player play to a 4th line now, you'll hurt his feelings and ego.
Players now need constant positive reinforcement

Marner didn't just forget to play. He's still a solid player. Coaches need to find a way to get him going
Maybe let him focus on offense, don't put him on PK
Maybe try different players. Spezza has hot hands, he could use a player with skills
Take him away from big match ups.

Those are the stuff coaches needs to try

Did you watch the last 2 games ? He looked good. He was shit in every single game before that. Also how would demoting him to the 4th line make him produce better ? We're all frustrated with him but that does no one any good. Last 2 games he was playing the game the right way and showed effort/compete, not perfect but much much better than the games before. He looked lazy in the first few games, hasn't looked slow just looked uninspired.

Not as hyped as I was when I looked at the schedule in September.

If there's a team affected worse by the Habs hangover, it's the Knights.

I haven't been keeping up with the fancy stats but last time I checked Knights were pretty much the worst 5 on 5 team in the league defensively.


Maybe these two negatives discarded by the Habs need to go head to head to undo it. This game is the TSN turning point for both teams. Hopefully we get the W though, not just the curse lifted.
