I still have epic flashbacks of when he was coaching the Rags..all they ever did was lay down to block shots and scored the dirtiest of the goals. *shivers in disgust*
 
US really played with no emotion. Some real no shows out there.

Think about it. A thrown together team Europe played with more effort and passion than the Americans. I could understand losing with some bad bounces here and there but they were outworked as well. Unforgivable.

They better come out a team possessed next game.

At 16 he left Slovenia to play in Sweden. I remember him joking around during that playoffs that he would stay close around the Sedins so he could listen in what they were saying in Swedish lol
 
USA - more effort was missing
Bishop - 3 almost unstoppable shots&goals, i don't blame you
Halak - man of the game
Krueger - great tactics
Draisaitl - what a talent
Tatar - bad luck, i prey 4 u ;)
Refs - mostly good calls

Bishop didnt start in goal for USA. Quick did.
 
Not surprising this happened with some of the roster decisions their management has made. Not to mention the coach.
 
Whoa, this is a legit upset.

I can't help but think USA Hockey hired Tortorella because they can't let go of the idea of Herb Brooks.
 
Yea I do agree that Torts is an idiot. Even the goofy calling out of Patches in the presser after the exhibition game? I mean what coach pulls that crap in a short international tournament where you haven't even established a relationship with the players yet?

Why in the world would management select him to coach this team?
 
Team USA built a team to counter team Canada. The problem is that they forgot there's other teams in the tournament too. Let's GO Europe!.
 
While I don't necessarily revel at the US failing I can totally understand and relate to the anger from many Americans at their management team. We don't pick the best team we can either. We play Boumeester and Pietrangelo etc. I feel your pain bros the Euros might take us down too.
 
John Tortorella is easily one of the top 5 worst NHL coaches of all time. WTF is he doing here.
