UNB Reds Thread (Part5)

Do you guys remember the November.25 2011 game at the LBR. Was the last great “battle of the hill” in that rink.
UNB scored 4 short handed goals in a comeback win, John Harty played probably the greatest period and a half of hockey I’ve seen out of UNB player in a long time.

We kinda need to get down these rabbit holes more often lol. We all have an extremely niche interest we share , it’s nice to have people to discuss it with !

We almost need like a “general bullshit” thread to not steal threads but be able to talk about whatever OT stuff we want .

Those were the days Campy!

I’ve always been a fan of old dumpy rinks. With a crowd I always loved the Halifax Forum, i remember being in Halifax for the SEDMHA tournament while the world curling championship was at the Metro Centre and the Mooseheads were playing playoff games at the Forum and when that place is rocking it’s awesome .
Rowan played at the Forum last spring that brought back a lot of memories being there!

Has your mad hit up the Saint John LBR? Those 2/ 3 of the rinks names LBR are the best rinks in terms of character for NB. Sucks we don’t have a USPORTS university in SJ, It would be such a perfect rink for this level of hockey

I see the Women's team is visiting U of Maine this weekend. Not sure if they have played an NCAA team before.
UNB played Maine last September.

Can we pass the hat and get Rob an NCAA streaming subscription.
Guy has got a love affair with anything coming out of an American school.

I usually only watch during the NCAA playoffs/Frozen four.

Surprised that the Men's team didn't go down to the states this year.

I believe the schedule for Hockey East (maybe the NCAA as a whole, not sure) has changed where they don’t start their season at the same time they used to…and that has caused some timing issues with exhibition games against AUS teams, especially now that exhibition games aren’t allowed after the season starts.

Are exhibition games still allowed during the Xmas break?

Anyone make the trek to Ottawa for the weekend?
I was at the game tonight. First period was close then UNB opened things up in the second. Cody Morgan with the nicest goal of the night. Upstairs in the short side.
Reds were all over the Ravens in the third but to their credit they still played hard preventing the game from getting out of hand. Got to see three new players dress for the Reds in McGinley, Kyte and Kammerer.
Richard in nets tonight so I expect Outhouse tomorrow against UofOttawa.

Thanks for the insight

I debated going , figured I’d hold off and take a trip to Montreal in a month or two and see a Habs and Rockets game. Kinda wish I had because I took 3 stitches playing pickup hockey lol. Wear a shield folks.

Not counting McGurn, full line-up?
