I knew life wasn't always going to be fair for Winnipeg being back in the NHL. This sucks though.

Draft and develop gets even harder when you have to trade guys that aren't even a year away from ufa.

The only thing of any interest is the 1st round pick.

Reinhart is too green to be of any help and the Jets don't need Yakupov.

If the Jets are trading Trouba to Edmonton, Klefbom (depending on health) or Nurse (with a plus) is most likely coming back.

Oilers wouldnt do Klef. They may do Nurse but the add wont be too big

You guys get a good defenseman back a first round pick and a winger. What else are you expecting better than that for an unsigned Trouba?? Like really jets fans?

Good d man? Reinhart is still trying to establish himself.

The Jets don't need a winger, especially a struggling one. They are flush with wingers.

The more realistic offer of interest from Edmonton would be Nurse plus a first.

He requested the trade 5 months ago?

I thought jets fans have been telling us for months on here that it was a fact he wanted to stay in Winnipeg?

There's a lot of Jets fans that buried their heads in the sand. Have fun with the I told ya so's. This sucks for us.

Yikes, feel bad for Jets' Fans.

I really dislike his agent. The way he dealt with the RyJo situation and now this. It's not how things should be handled. No use airing out dirty laundry publicly. This can only hurt his trade value, Jets should not be happy with Mr. Overhardt right now. Hopefully they can get back a D man of similar value.

Zero chance. I value Draisaitl more and the Oilers can't afford to send an ELC for a client of Overhardt. He's also the mastermind behind recent holdouts Turris, Dubinsky, and Johansen

Yuck.
I bet Overhart is on a few teams "Do not draft/sign/trade for" list.

Fun fact- Overhardt is the same guy who helped Kesler escape from Vancouver

and Kyle Turris escape Arizona
and Kerby Rychel escape Columbus
and Ryan Johansen escape Columbus
and Riley Nash escape Edmonton

I believe Trouba is Overhardt's 8th player in the last 13 years who has held out into training camp either for money reasons or trying to force a trade.

I think PHI are perfect partners for the Jets. They got the prospects (especially on D) to facilitate a trade. And PHI needs a RHD. Trouba is perfect for them. They also have Provorov to dangle to the Jets

They also have Sanhiem who will be better than Trouba.

This is actually pretty reasonable.
Nurse is 21 and isn't anywhere close to looking like an NHL D man. He could still turn it around, but more often then not players his age who struggle as badly as he did last year never amount to much.

Until he actually shows something at the NHL level I have no interest in Nurse

Absolutely it sucks.

Just seems weird to pretend everything is fine and your team is all fine and dandy when there are warning signs all over the place. No shame in saying "we hope he signs here, but it's a real possibility he might leave".

Makes it worse when a trade request becomes public and you look like a dummy for criticizing other posters that suggested he may want out of Winnipeg

Not the healthy 220lb Klef that came into camp excited to pair up with Larsson

For me a healthy Klef is already better than Trouba. Different kinds of Dmen but better. Trouba is more punishing but Klef is more steady and I think will bring more offense. He is also physical but not in a punishing way if that makes any sense, And mostly trading Klef would just move our issue to the other side of the ice. No reason to do this

a NHL team needs to bury one of Overhardts clients careers to send a message.
Just saying.

You won't be getting any offers much better than that, have fun letting an asset go to waste all year I guess. Even if the Jets don't trade him and just let him sit out, the Oilers win because the Jets are a team the Oilers will be competing with.
