Probably the first Coastal Flooding Warning I've ever seen for Woburn.

The Health app on iPhone now lets you send your vaccination card to your wallet.

I discovered today that it updated itself to show my third shot which I only got 2 days ago. The QR code worked to enter Canada and also allowed me to prove my status to a merchant in Toronto.

I still had to produce a negative COVID test within 72 hours to enter Canada but there were no hassles at all. Canada has an app/website called ArriveCan - and they link it to your passport. You simply upload everything to the app and the screening agent scans the passport and its done.

Use ArriveCAN to enter Canada - Canada.ca

The reality is the CDC card you first get looks very unofficial but the QR code seems to make everybody happy.

What puzzles me is I never told Walgreens to send the info to Mass General and yet MGH had it in less than 48 hours.

COVID testing is very unpleasant- the nurse shoved the swab so far up my nose I thought it was going to come out through my eye. Just awful.

When I was working in the NHL Bubble EVERY SINGLE DAY I was tested :help:

when I was a kid, amillion years ago, most peewee and bantams only had 1 goalie. Arlington had 12 teams for each age group.
Anyway I’d have my mom drop me off at Hockey Town on route 1 @ 6:00 am. Pick me up @ 2:00.
Id have a spare plain yellow jersey. The coaches knew I was there and sometimes I’d play my own game and another one or two depending on who didnt show up.
Had a ball.
Funny after all that ice time I still pretty much sucked but the kids on the other teams sure liked not having to face shots.

I like to feed the birds (I am turning into my parents) . Because of squirrels I have a T shaped pole that holds 6 bird feeders.

I noticed yesterday morning all of the feeders were down. The ones that hold the suet bars are up with chains. A couple were broken. The metal chains were snapped. I don't think we have bears and also the suet was broken on the ground and most animals would have eaten it. I think it must have been a human animal.

I went and bought some new chain and a couple of feeders and hope it was a one time thing.

I am leaving my outdoor light on.

This is the biggest bird that visits my feeders.

I have a heated bird bath too. I also throw a handful of peanuts (in the shell) out daily for the squirrels, blue jays and other birds. It drives my cats nuts when the little nuthatches splash around in the bird bath.

One time a squirrel got on my T pole so I chopped a branch down that had been his route to the pole.

I am lucky enough to report that the most annoying thing about getting Covid is a loss of smell and taste.

God bless scientists and their vaccine....and all the people fighting it one way or the other.

I did experience some heavy breathing and dry cough but other than that i am and will be ok.

Just wanted to say thank you for the well wishes in the GDT.

I won’t get into the nitty gritty other than to say listen to your body. Know it’s quirks. It is what tipped me off that something was very wrong last night.

I run a low temp so I know what normal fever sweats feel like. When I started getting them last night when my temp dropped to 96 on top of the excruciating pain, I knew I was in deep trouble and needed to call the. EMT’s.

In a matter of hours I went from enjoying a glass of wine to possibly needing emergency surgery. Thankfully I listened to my body and have avoided surgery thus far.
