Kinda lost my head and went into complete shock for a long while in this game. The only other time I’ve felt that sort of emotion about an individual play was the Ovechkin goal vs the Coyotes.

I've seen flashes of a handful of players at different times when watching Z but Datsyuk is kind of where I'm settling now. They just think out of the box on the ice and do stuff that you've rarely ever seen before. Z was really pretty solid defensively tonight and that play was straight out of Datsyuk's book. Datsyuk scored 30 or more a few times and 20+ several times, so Z will have to improve a bit there but i have no doubt that he'll get there.

I think Datsyuk did something similar to this, against the Ducks of all teams actually.

NGL, he is now going to get the Calder no matter what.

I was going to post something similar to this. This play vaulted him into the Calder lead. While it may not necessarily be warranted, his marketability/highlight worthy plays may help him win it.

Gotta feel for sonny how his younger brother got the talent, the charisma, the looks and was the one who went to university. That’s pretty much the nightmare scenario for any older sibling.

Almost PPG as a rookie already, most likely will end up in top3 if not the top scorer of all rookies.

This guy has all the tools to be a superstar, not only because of his skills but because of his personality.

We might be witnessing the start of something really big, not just for Ducks but for the whole game of hockey.

When the clock hits midnight after june 30th, Samuelis should be camping outside his door with a 8x9M contract ready to be signed.

Stylistically there's a lot of Datsyuk in Z's game, and I see an increasing amount in his game away from the puck. But there's so few players in this league that see/think the game the way Z does. There's arguments (and good ones) that others do it better, but Z is just different. Happy to be along for the ride.

NBC never showed any love for the Ducks. Comcast promoted the Flyers, Pens, Caps, Bs, Hawks, and the Rangers. Glad ESPN got hockey back because they use to show the Ducks almost. 2-3 times a month.
