So if Vesey-Rydahl-Hunt is the current 5th line and Goodrow hasn't been skating- who was rotated with Carpenter and Reaves? Gauthier?
I think it was Othmann-Carpenter-Gauthier, and Reaves was with Khoderenko and someone else.

Can the Rangers and will they sign him?

Can NYR sign Alfano?
my understanding
(recall Tolchinski)
Yes guys like him,
undrafted but still draft eligible, are signed to ATOs when attending dev/ rookie/ training camp, and that offers ATO team a preseason 'window' to sign to ELC.
Will they? I'd like them to, cant be more if a waste than signing a overager like Jake Elmer was.
But there is no NYR precedence to do so.
The Tolchinsky offseason, he attended dev camp w both NYR, Canes; had agreed to go to Traverse City w NYR, but ~midAugust Canes signed him to ELC

Unpopular opinion but if Kravtsov pops off this season on that line I wouldn't be surprised if he became primo trade bait next offseason. Especially if we're still looking for money to give Miller and Laf.

maybe his shot will finally sprout when his pubic hairs do

There's a video of him hitting over 106 on a slap somewhere, in one of these threads.

There have been camp tweets about his wrister being harder.

Things are coming along publicly, pubicly and privately all at once. He's looking California, and feeling... California.

That first past from Krav to Panarin before Panarin hits Krav for the one timer 🤤
That chemistry 😍

😍

every single one of these clips if you watch and follow panarin he is staying outside the dots. vinny and vk are cutting and swarming through the slot depending which side the puck shifts to, but panarin is glued to the exterior. get ready for more of the same garbage that we saw from him in the playoffs if this is what he is doing at training camp with his teammates and no significant risk of contact. 11.6m powerplay specialist coming in short order...

i saw the video of the clapper but i couldnt care less about it as slap shots are becoming irrelevant in todays game with stick whip. his wrister and snap shot were complete muffins that routinely hit goalies in the chest. that is what i want to see improve, not a clapper that is only relevant for all star weekend...

Guys have been pasting each other during scrimmages.

Plus Panarin has always operated from the perimeter. His insistence on doing dumb shit is what hurt him last year, not being allergic to traffic.

To be fair we've got like 1 minute of footage of him playing lol, all the reporters said Panarin has been our most dangerous player in camp so far and that he seemed motivated by the talk of his poor playoff performance

also on a side note, all the player headshots that are being posted highlight one thing to me: that the rangers jersey and coloring is absolutely beautiful still to this day. the design, the shades of the colors, all of it even with its simplicity is still sexy and just looks good on virtually everyone.

Oh, but it will be relevant.

Because he will be at the All-Star Game.

Where he will also show off his model NYC 10 gf, plus more menial things like his wrister and snapper.

what?

he noticeably avoided the house last year. in previous years he always would attack the slot and that is what opened up space for his other plays and options. he is a world class playmaker who has always had lanes open bc he used his shiftiness to attack and cause defenses to respect his ability to score. since he started to live on the perimeter defenses have a much easier time picking off his plays bc they no longer have to respect his willingness to attack. there were times in the playoffs that teams literally just stepped away from him and gave him a lane right to the net and he kept looking to pass and eventually would just skate himself into the corner with the puck bc he was so hellbent on avoiding the slot and wanting to pass. you have to be willing to attack the net if you want your lanes to open as a passer, when those lanes arent opening and you still force the puck you look bad, but panarin didnt suddenly lose his ability to pass the puck, his shift in play allowed teams to play him differently and it has made him look bad. NO player in the nhl can live on the perimeter, and that includes panarin

every clip i have seen he has been on the outside, that is alarming. i hope this isnt the case, but watching it for over 100 games last year i tend to err to the side of prove me that you're attacking again rather than just hoping or assuming he will be the player he was before.

When all 5 of the opposing teams players are glued to Kravtsov the entire game it'll open more than enough space for Panarin to walk right in without traffic, don't worry
