Sitting and waiting to undergo bilateral hernia surgery, thanks for the laugh, I needed it

How is he upfront? He has no consistency.

Laf, one of the team's top 5v5 scorers earned the opportunity to start in the top 6 and on PP1. Gets denied.

Blais was injured all season, is 26 and has less career goals than Laf scored last year. He gets thrown on line 1.

Kakko, learned and turned himself into one of the league's best defensive wingers. Opening on line 2 and gets he denied.

Kravtsov ditched the team and left the country because he didn't want to earn a spot and play in Hartford for a short amount of time. He's rewarded with top 6 placement instantly.

Where is the accountability, merit, consistency?

I mentioned this in the other thread, the team ran out of gas in the playoffs, why aren't they focusing on conditioning right now instead of scrimmages?
Personally I think you are hung up on line number designations. IF these lines are what we actually go into the season with and IF the Kid line doesn't get significant ice time I can see being upset. Other than that I'm perfectly fine with it. Let's see what we've got!

Chytil to Kakko to Laf

The reporters are talking about ice time in the background.,

Gallant's job is to develop and win.

The guy who says his job is to win sounds like Larry.

Gallant ain't winning unless the young players take the next step and that's on him.

Yes... all the great coaches do not play their best line of the playoffs.... because of winning.. and/or development.

Completely rationale and logical.

There's no defending Gallant with leaning on the vets who were doing nothing even-strength.

The line designations matter. Where are people pulling this idea from that magically Gallant is going to evenly distribute ice time? The top two lines are going to get between 18 and 20 minutes guaranteed. The "Kid Line" will be lucky to surpass 14 minute range, most nights it'll be between 11 and 14 minutes. On nights when he feels like it that line will get 11 minutes max. When you take into consideration special teams it's even worse. None of the players on line 3 are going to get PP1 time. PP2 always gets junk time at the end of the power play. And it's doubtful any will get on the PK. This is how Gallant has always operated. Why do people think that will suddenly change?

If Lafreniere is kept on line 3 it will be another year wasted. He should be getting top six minutes in every situation. PP, PK. He should be developed into one of the go-to guys on the team. He was a first overall pick. Not some 2nd round swing at the fences. On every other team in the league this is what would be happening.

I spoke to Gallant. He subscribes to the Messier, Gilbert, Hadfield, Ratelle line nomenclature. He just doesn't think the public is ready for it. He might have said something about people being donks.

Where are you pulling this idea from that I said that? I said we shall see IF he keeps these lines together and, if so, IF the Kid Line gets significant ice time.
Its not unheard of for a team to have three strong lines and the one(s) playing best gets the Lion's Share. You are too hung up on designations that aren't concrete. Who is to say The Kid line won't be the first line? Are you just saying they are for sure the worst of the top nine and can't outplay the others? Like they did at times in the playoffs? They had a terrific run there, why not take a look in preseason? That's what it is for.
You have no way of predicting how this shakes out, don't expect us all to just accept your projections as fact.
OR, if you've got some sort of psychic ability please give us some lottery insider info.

*Me, an idiot* “oh it’ll be nice to have Zac Jones on the left providing some puck moving, they really need that for that third pair”

*Gerard Gallant shoving Libor Hajek down my throat* “bitch you thought?”
