he was exposed, how wasn't he available?Gourde was the one who wasn't available. Shoulda magicked that shit.
You still couldnt afford Gourde in that case. He got claimed in the expansion draft anyway so I dont even understand how that was a Ranger screw up
I thought Gourde was UFA tbh. Anyway my point was more about avoiding bad deals so you have room for good players - thus minus two "bad" players leaves room for a good one. Guess the point went past people.
It’s Laviolette’s sonAkil Thomas on waivers. Curious if we take a look there.
This is so embarrassing as a fan. This seems to be happening all the time. Is pr trying to be cheeky?
His son is also Peter Laviolette and played in the ECHL last season. Believe he was invited to AHL campAkil Thomas on waivers. Curious if we take a look there.

Coming off 31 goals in only 67 AHL games I'm surprised he is on waivers. Makes me wonder if there is something going on beyond the numbers.Any interest in claiming Lias Andersson off waivers? 31 goals last year in the AHL.
So three big takeaways from the lavy presser:I like how honest our new coach is. He doesn't pretend we don't have eyes. I couldn't agree more about effort. Effort isn't about systems, lines, etc.

Who is the other bad player in this hypothetical?
Didn't he have a good camp? Thought I saw something about that.
I like both Goody and Tro tbh, but it's more about fit. I said earlier I think we have a problem with our 3Cs being too similar in style. Trochek always was bit of a weird signing to me.
when do we ever?Akil Thomas on waivers. Curious if we take a look there.
Trochek fill a HUGE need for this team. He's an excellent puck transporter, he's very good at both ends of the rink, he's a good forechecker and he plays in and around the net very well. He thrives playing in traffic. That's something the team needs more of in general.
Laviolette doesn't like his lazy attitude. Trsded by opening night or trade deadlineLaf as an extra?
OMG it may be happening..
Lazy LafySo three big takeaways from the lavy presser:
1. The media has been trained for the nonsense coaches. The media thought that asking the coach about a horseshit game would lead to some laughs and the old turk giggle "we will be fine, our guys are pros and they will be fine" hands off crap. Media was laughing at first and then they realized lavy is pissed.
2. Expecting effort shouldn't be something the coach needs to state to the media and by doing so he is almost outing the country club shit which is great. For years and years back checking and d effort has been optional.
3. When lavy says the kids are the ones competing he's again calling out the vets and core here. I love it. They should be setting the tone and they aren't. This all goes back to the trouba helmet throw and the rottenness in the locker room last year. Trouba and turk did not see eye to eye on what was needed to run the team. Trouba wanted help for accountability from the coach through deployment, ice time, and taking away cookie time for those not pulling their weight but turk just kept giving the babies their binky. I think lavy has the stones to manage this properly, although it may cause some players (panarin) to check out on him. This is going to be culture shock for some...
So laffy? Shocker...

Goodrow catches a lot of flack for his teammates being lacking enough that he gets overslotted.I think both guys need to be judged after they play under a real coach, because if you go by production, both have lived up to their contracts so far
And he's decent on face offs...Trochek fill a HUGE need for this team. So again, as an alternative to Jones Fox.So again, you are stuck on Fox Miller for every example you gave.
