It's something that they won't do. Last season they were the fourth lowest scoring team in the League behind Chicago (204), Anaheim (209) and CBJ(214) with only 222 goals. Gone are Hayes(18), TDA(11), JVR(12) and Provorov(6) who together tallied 47 goals. Couturier and Atkinson aren't going to make up the difference. If they trade out Konecny and Laughton their scoring will be even lower.
This team won't win because it can't score. No amount of decent defensive play will balance that inability to get goals. They're going to get blown out more often or not. Attendance is going to plummet and heads will roll. They're a bigger mess than most folks even thought.
And you were expecting what during a rebuild?

Farabee, Couts, Atkinson and Foerster should give us more scoring at forward than we got from Hayes and JVR last year. They will miss TDA on offense, Sanheim and York need to pick up the slack.

1) it isn't a rebuild as any sane person would expect.

2) they think they're in Year 2 of a 3 year process

3) you repeatedly assured us that offense would take off because of the genius of Tortorella

I think it was Toumaala who insisted he wanted to play in the AHL, not the Flyers.
He's had a reality check, and seems to have committed to a bottom six role of "energy guy."
Was very impressive against the Islanders on a line with Laughton and Cates as an active forechecker.

The Finnish "NAK." Hopefully without the stupid penalties.

should the flyers have said no we want you to go juniors to play? Is it wise to let the inmates run the asylum?

So he's a dime a dozen player and no one should care of he gets waived and then claimed?

It’s sick to me how a decade in we are doing this lol

Superstars enter the league every season. Exciting players that make up a core of a team. Not doing what needs to be done to get that elite core.

Yet as always we are here talking about secondary vanilla trash, and why our average guys can’t bring us to the promise land. Lindros, and Giroux. In what, 30 years? That’s your issue. That.

The arrogance, and stupidity on display by the org - and those that support this ass backwards plan is something alright

I personally am still waiting for a single player to be moved that didn’t have a glaring reason to move them due to Torts or optics/requests.

Just one single player and I’ll consider this actually being a rebuild.

Until that happens? Nope, not a rebuild.
Not only is it a rebuild, it's already 33% complete.

To actually rebuild! Not hold on to over rated vets like Laughton, not signing 4th liners like hathaway when we could use a kid who's on the cusp of being ready, the ahl is NOT A DEVELOPMENTAL LEAGUE, you do not have to defend literally every single thing they do, I promise you that you don't have to, we could have used that late first much more than we need Laughton, it's pure stupidity what they're doing at this point, they're appeasing torts and the dumbass boomers who still go to the games who want to see the "broad street bullies" we aren't bullies, that part of hockey is dead, we don't need a team full of muckers and grinders, you need speed and skill (yes you need players to fight along the boards)

the ahl is 10000% a development league, they have rules about veteran players.

In the AHL, player development is a top priority. The American Hockey League and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association have the following development rule in place:

Of the eighteen (18) skaters (not counting two goaltenders) that teams may dress for a game, at least thirteen (13) must be qualified as “development players.” Of those 13, twelve (12) must have played in 260 or fewer professional games (including AHL, NHL and European elite leagues), and one must have played in 320 or fewer professional games. All calculations for development status are based on regular-season totals as of the start of the season.

Ginning is now at 284 games, so he only qualifies under the 320 slot.
Why college players are preferable as AHL plus types, since they don't hit their limit until their 4th AHL season.

It's really not, especially when we don't even have our kids playing the system in which we play, so that does f*** all to help them for when they come up, hell our ahl team doesn't even really have a system, it's more of a joke, if you're on the cusp of the nhl, you are better of playing against better competition in the nhl on the 4th line, than playing a few extra minutes against ahl talent
