Like the Toffoli trade from Winnipeg, 2nd line winger @ 50% for 2nd and 3rd is nice work.

Would like to see Toronto find a better 4th line winger then one of Holmberg/Gregor. Apparently they are still in the market in another d-man/forward so we shall see what happens.

We also have Robertson waiting to come back. He was pretty solid and only was sent down because of his contract status.

I'd be surprised if there isn't at least one more depth move to come.

That doesn't give me much hope. He's not going on the top two lines, the third line is playing pretty well, and he doesn't fit a 4th line of getting it in deep and trying to grind down the D.

I don't think we do much more at the deadline. What has this team shown in these last 2 games against the Bruins? How they can be dominated in 2 straight games? Nothing we add will change that our core comes up short when it matters most.
think they need a Maurice moment, Keefe needs to lose it on the bench, Samsonov will go on a magical Bob Run, the team looks possessed, we bring Engvall back for his elite skating, and beautiful Stride and we march are way through to the cup final! :sarcasm:

I can see something like Timmins for Kunin (50% retained) and Tre calling it a day.

Sharks only have 1 retain slot available for the season. Kunin makes sense but they may have to use that slow on someone else?

Cant wait for the 3:00 presser by Dumb and Dumber saying they were in on a lot of players, just to many moving pieves to pull a trade, and they believe in this f***ing core.

Other contenders improving and we have no assets and no hope of winning a round vs panthers or boston

We've scored 4 goals in the last 3 games and one of our major weaknesses last few playoffs has been scoring depth. He's not going to be a savior but he'd be the kind of forward that could help provide scoring depth.

They have the assets but are unwilling to move them (apparently).

Leafs had better load up on D size otherwise the Bruins will destroy the living shit out of them in round one.

I was 100% certain Boston was going to acquire a goon today after last night's game. I can't stand Maroon's face, here we go again.
The Bruins adding Maroon makes it easier to hate Boston even more. I despise them already.
Prices are reasonable this TDL we just don’t have any currency
I don’t see any trade deadline target this year that would have made the difference For the leafs.

Right strategy IMO.

If I am the GM I want to see 34,16 and 88 raise their level of play before I make any significant investments of draft capital for rentals.

I am standing pat. Tre should too!

I’m gonna say this again: we’re a tougher team than the Bruins. This isn’t the old Bruins. Whether or not that matters, remains to be seen, but the idea that we need to get any tougher is silly. We’re gonna have to learn to score when it matters, and from where it matters

The Leafs would need 50% retained by the Sharks and additional retention from a 3rd party to fit in Kunin.

Nah Kunin at 50% makes his salary come down to 1.375M. Leafs have enough cap room to absorb all that after Lagesson is sent down and Giordano on LTIR and/or waiving Jones.
