Apparently it was the covid restrictions here he didn't like, hoping the easing of restrictions has him re-consider.

Ian Cole would be a nice add. Maybe can grab Zadorov via Seattle?

Zadorov is absolute ass. I love toughness but it has to be the right toughness. Zadorov wont be in the league for too long.

Zadorov is absolute ass. I love toughness but it has to be the right toughness. Zadorov wont be in the league for too long.

He showed good flashes last year on the Blackhawks on the 2nd pairing...not exactly a strong group though or team, it was down Toews/Dach.

He'd be an expensive 3rd pairing but he'd absolutely kill guys with hits which would be a nice change.

Looks like Seattle has agreed to contracts with Adam Larsson and Jamie Olesiak. 2 solid defenders right there

they were my top 2 UFA targets too... maybe i'm mind controlling the Kraken

CJ did say he thinks the Leafs find their second goalie via trade and not free agency.

I imagine Seattle takes Kahkonen, Vanacek, and Driedger (and maybe even Price) - in which case I can see Seattle and Toronto working out a trade for one of Vanacek or Kahkonen

Not a burner for speed, not zero though, that's overzealous in the description. I like that he finishes his checks.

Jake McCabe would be my ideal choice but we'd probably need to jettison Rielly.

i guess my top UFA dman sleeper would be Forbort now

they are going to have the best goalie depth in the league ...expansion teams are instant cup contenders now, not like the old days when the Atlanta and the Devil's were bottom feeders for a 1/2 dozen years

Nothing really surprising there but good to actually have CJ who I think is pretty damn reliable saying this is what likely happens.

Leafs should definitely revamp their 3rd line.

For the 4th line... worst case I'd just try Brooks on the 4th with Spezza and Simmonds and itll be fine. They don't get a ton of time anyway.

They need a top LW... backup goalie... revamped 3rd and already have 1 of those pieces most likely.

There's a lot of different options and ways they could go. It depends how crazy Dubas wants to go. I doubt it's anything earth shattering though.

Manson gets too much love around here. He' s ok, not that great

D is an area we really need to hammer down. Not only we don't have strong D but other teams are picking up those strong big Ds

But we just don't have the chips to trade unless you want to part with Nylander or taking on a another bad contract

Anaheim won't be trading Manson to the Leafs for bag of pucks and I don't think we have any players they would be interested in. They have enough prospects forwards

Maybe Phoenix will want to part with OEL. That's the only player I can see that's tradeable and obtainable
