Yes they're looking at losing Dumba in the expansion draft if they hold onto Suter, but to impair your cap like that for 4 years is a really restrictive move.
Yeah, they're screwed. On an 81.5 million dollar cap, their cap ceiling in year two is 68.75 and 66.75 in years three & four. For reference, New Jersey had the lowest team cap hit this season at 70.9 and the cap median is 70.85. They should just tank for Wright and Bedard, their ELCs would be up once the buyout hit drops to a manageable 1.66.
Nashville is a disaster waiting to happen as well with Weber's potential recapture and possible buyouts for Duchene and/or Johansson.
