The Coleman dream is probably not gonna happen. If he doesn't find a way to stay in Tampa then he's cashing out while going home to Dallas. Goodrow is probably more realistic but I'm sure teams like Boston might be able to offer him more money than us so who knows.

Landeskog would eat noses off in toronto like tyson did back in his soulja prime sire. He would totally tyson kill errrbody out hurr.
Also eh uh, Jenner's scoring has gotten low during these last 3 seasons. He could be had, like real hard and low money. Like 3 mil per year. Cause he only a pk kill and a real killa for the scrilla for life. Only doing that dirty third line minute, playing that safe lead for us. Still thuggin, WHAT!

please stop

Goodrow is from Toronto. He has a home in Uxbridge. He very well could want to come home to play.

Coleman could ride shotgun for the big-4. Goodrow probably can’t do that. He’s still super valuable, and I want him, but he’s most likely on our 3rd line.

14m won't get you Hamilton, Landrskog, Coleman, and Hyman. You probably need another 7m min.

Not sure what the market on these guys is but let's say:

In: Hamilton 7m and Landeskog 7m and Hutton 750k and Bogosian 1m + Robertson 800k and Backup 2m and Foligno 2m = 20.55m

Out: Marner 11m and Holl 2m and Dermott 1.5m and Mikheyev 1.645m = 16.145m

Current cap space is ~9.3m so the difference given the above is ~5m cap space.

Yeah you are right we can maybe do one of Hyman/Coleman and a bargain bin player.

We need 3-4 forwards depending on if Kerfoot moves imo.

I want Mikheyev gone, thats one thing I know fs.

We need a 1st line LW. A middle six LW. A 3rd line RW. And a 3C if we lose Kerf.

???-Matthews-Marner
???-JT-Nylander
Robertson-Kerf-????
Simmonds-Engvall-Spezza

Rielly-Brodie
Muzzin-Liljegren/Dermott
Sandin-Holl

Listened to the podcast from Friedman/Marek

Hyman and Leafs far apart. Detroit and Edmonton the most interested parties.

Leafs had big interest in Bertuzzi going into TDL, the injury changed things and not sure where it is now.

Interesting. What do you think the price would have been for Bertuzzi
No doubt Yzerman would have wanted a young prospect, probably Robertson or Lily

I can't see they having interest in anyone else. Dermott doesn't get you Bertuzzi

Could have been our 1st.

Maybe something like Hyman's rights, 2nd 22, Dermott

Mirtle/Siegel seem to think a Kuemper trade (with retention) likely makes the most sense of the available goalies, if Kuemper makes it through expansion. Thinks the cost will be much lower than ARI's ask last season (a 1st), due to the injuries he had, and the fact that he's only got a year left now.

Mirtle said it's believed Rielly will take a cap hit below his market value. Mirtle says based on comps, Rielly's open market is in the 7-7.2M range, but if Rielly is willing to do something in the low 6's, it is very appealing.

I think Fred is going to see what is out there - and if nothing with term at at good $ is available, he will want to come back to Toronto on a 1 year really cheap deal to try to rehabilitate his value.

Problem for him is I think there is a decent chance the Leafs have their 1B goalie by that time and he might be left without a chair at the dance.

If Fred is healthy (and I sure hope that we know whether he is or not), it'd make a ton of sense to offer him a 1-2 year deal to buy us some more time.

It'd be great to trade for another Jack Campbell-ish goalie like a Georgiev, but we have basically no assets, we barely have picks in next year's draft.

And a cupboard stacked with prospects of various/all tiers.

He could but now that he has 2 cups he could just just play for money now tbh. I still think he'd choose us over most teams but if a team like Boston offers him something much more than we do I can see him go there. This way he still has a chance to win and he's making the most amount of money possible. We usually don't get the hometown discounts until they are at the end of their careers and not many other teams want them.
