We still have Kerfoot, and that will make it okay. LolKnies chose the wrong letter to make silent.
I'm ruining this thread, I'll stop now.

We should make Kallgren our #1 and really test out that theory.
Regarding Kane, the question I ask myself is whether that piece has a chance to push us over the top? If so, I'd be fine pushing in our chips and taking a gamble.
My nagging concern is we have shown so little success in the playoffs that I'd be reluctant to pony up the farm for a rental, even one like Patrick Kane. The goaltending situation doesn't help my confidence.
Then again, I do think this club was the toughest Tampa faced in the postseason last year outside of Colorado, so maybe a big add is just what we need.
Do you know who he is? He's a 34 year old rental that would require double retention. Not interested in trading the equivalent of 3x 1st round picks, some of which are NHL ready, and slamming our window shut after not having a 1st in the last 2/3 years.I must have entered some sort of twilight zone. People are more excited for deep drafts than they are adding Patrick Kane to our current window. Do you know who Patrick Kane is?
Having constant material to discuss in the prospects thread doesn't take priority over a Stanley Cup. Do I need to remind people the players that comprise this core and their ages. We are in win now mode + their ages basically make them closer to prospect age than it does washed up age. Actual superstars and top 6 players. We can let go of prospects and picks who aren't even guaranteed to be NHL regulars right now for a Patrick Kane. Again I must ask do people know who Patrick Kane is? I'm starting to think they don't.

He doesn't guarantee you anything but you would be guaranteeing a worse team 5 years after he walks. Paying premium assets for players with term is a lesson I thought people would get by now.
Amirov isnt on the table for so many reasonsRasmus Sandin + Alex Kerfoot + Rodion Amirov + 2023 1st rd. pick (top-5 protected)
for
JT Miller - (50% retained) - with a prenegotiated deal (8.25M per for 6 years) + Luke Schenn - (50% retained)
Or Boston. In the same boatMy money is on the Penguins to acquire Patrick Kane if they are playoff bound this spring. It might be their last kick at the can.
You wouldn't trade one year of Kane for two years of nylander?Chicago isn't getting Nylander in return. These proposals are crazy.
It is what we need imo.Regarding Kane, the question I ask myself is whether that piece has a chance to push us over the top? If so, I'd be fine pushing in our chips and taking a gamble.

You realize he's about to get a massive pay raise right?
Dude loves money even more then the rest of them
My advanced stats show a correlation with the "K" sound on last name and championships in Toronto.
Joe Carter.
Kawhi
It's only fitting Kane is the missing piece in the one league we don't have a championship in post 90's.
Get it done boysssssssssss
As long as Chi retains the 50%, it seems like the most logical solution. You wouldn't trade one year of Kane for two years of nylander?
Lets just go all in, Marner for Toews and Kane both at 50% retention.
IF the Leafs cant win with AM, Toews, JT and Kampf at C, they won't win anything.
But but but we need Kane because our Top 6 didn’t score enough goals in the playoffs! The price for Kane is essentially already set. It will be the equivalent of two mid to late 1sts and a 2nd.
With the potential substitution of the picks for similarly valued young roster players or prospects.
No. The point of adding a guy for Kane is to add to a stacked core as the final piece for the cup run. Not rearrange the core for a one year rental and ultimately be out the two assets by the offseason when Kane leaves to free agency.
And the Hawks will want futures anyways, not win now assets like Nylander
As a 3C and matchup C, I think there ain’t many as good as him. He is no longer the 30goals/70pts player but he is still pretty useful as a matchup CTowes is absolutely washed

Bring back Komarov!2012 grey cup MvP for the Argos was Kackert.
You krack the kode.
If Robertson is worth a 2nd, what are all the recent 1st rounders he's outproducing worth? The going rate for Kane should be the equivalent of 2 firsts and a second
Sandin-equivalent to a first
2024 first top ten protected
Robertson-equivalent to 2nd
That should get it done without knies or topi
