I remember Mike Reilly being a decent defenseman. Worth a flyer?
Could we make a deal with Boston?
What if Calgary doesn't improve, could any of Hanifin, Andersson, Kylington or Tanev be available?
Him and rielly looked great at the worlds tournament years bacTanev might in a retool move .. they have Weegar (just extended) and Andersson on the right side long-term.
That would be most ideal IMO.
I think it depends where do Robbie fits in.Curious if they could involve a guy like Engvall in a hockey trade to give a new-look on a line with Kerfoot and Jarnkrok.
If ZAR-Kampf-Malgin is going to be a line, Engvall becomes a little redundant if he's not going to produce at close to last season's pace. He also shouldn't be playing C, so you either get a C in return or commit to Kerfoot centering that line with Jarnrkok and the new addition.
What about restricted Sens free agent Alex Formenton? 6'3" has a good scoring touch and is speedy, sort of your Mikheyev replacement with upside.
I hate to speculate, but I think the evidence is pointing to him not being signed for a good reason at this point.
Id rather give holmberg a shot before findin a trade partner for a centerI think it depends where do Robbie fits in.
Either way, I think an upgrade to either Engvall or Kerfoot would be great.
ROR is a perfect fit for us at this stage, imo. The only issue will be if he still feels that drive to win. He has a lot of hard minutes on his body.O’Reilly 50% for Kerfoot + 1st + some B Prospect if needed
Engvall - O’Reilly - Jarnkrok
Could be a nice 3rd line
I'd be interested in the Jets deal, but no shot on the Wild one.Leafs - Wild
Nick Robertson, Rasmus Sandin & Pierre Engvall
For
Jordan Greenway, Jacob Middleton & Brandon Duhaime
Leafs - Jets
Alex Kerfoot & 2024 2nd
For
Adam Lowry
Greenway - Matthews - Marner
Bunting - - Tavares - - Nylander
Knies - - - Lowry - - - Jarnkrok
AstonReese - Kampf - Duhaime
Rielly - - Liljegren
Middleton - Brodie
Giordano - - Holl
I love Ryan O'Reilly, he has been my favorite non leaf since early on in his career.
The question is, do we need a third line centre more than a muzzin replacement?
Wild gm Guerin laugh you off the phone. In what world do you think 2 players signed to 3 years extension this offseason including min #1d in Jacob Middleton along with duhaime Are traded? Not even realisticLeafs - Wild
