Wow
Top 15 in league goalies? Wow both?
Trade high then
We gone from heavily criticizing these guys for poor play to now saying they both top 15

My bad

They'll probably ramp up eventually, but yeah they definitely need more from a few players.
Ya know, I'm wondering about Tom Wilson. Caps are getting old and look to be out of the playoffs. Might need to rebuild.

Wilson(currently injured) has 2 years left at $5m. Leafs need a PWF who can retrieve pucks as well as put it in the net. He is technically in his prime at 28. Wonder what the cost would be?

1st + robertson + niemala?

So I think the Jarnkrok extension is probably where we're at on Kampf right?

Bunting....does he want to try again next year? Extend 1 year around 1.5M?

I would expect Kampf to be cheaper than Jarnkrok. He doesn’t have the offensive output to back up a much higher pay tbh

Why would Winnipeg want Kerfoot? Why would anyone?

Bad teams have little use for a pending UFA, and good teams won't want what he brings for 3.5.

I don’t think that’s true at all.

There are definitely good teams who can use a versatile player, who can play any forward position, penalty kill effectively and chip in ~40 points from a middle 6 position with virtually no powerplay time and 3.5 is not that much, especially later in the year.

Kerfoot is under appreciated here simply because people want a player with different stylistic traits where he tends to play in the lineup

Cap is not reflective of actual salary this year.
Less than 750k left to pay this year.
So, not a good target for a MaxCap team, for others could be an easy carry if you're moving out a player for Kerfoot and pick/prospect(s).

Some team may pick him up for cheap, but they aren't trading something we need.

IMO, he'd be a player that they could use, but he wouldn't be the target.

Unless it is a team with an excess of something looking for a depth forward aftermarket Swiss army knife. Not quite as good as an original Swiss army knife, but still usable.

I'd say for the Leafs he could be an asset sent out along with picks/prospects for a position of need.

At this point there is no good reason to trade him.

Of course there is a good reason
