Injury problems, and I don't think he's as versatile as Kerfoot.Thoughts for a Kerfoot trade.
Nashville for Cody Glass?
(Thinking Kerfoot + SDA for Glass+ mid pick)
Kerfoot slots into the 2nd line with Nino and Johnsson.
Glass has struggled the last two years with injuries, but is still only 23 and a good sized, good skating two-way guy who has middle 6 C potential if he can get things together. Would like to see him as 3C with the Leafs after a trade like this.
Leafs save almost 2.75m against the cap, and add an extra contract spot.
Bunting - Matthews - Marner
Robertson - Tavares - Nylander
Engval - Glass - Jarnkrok (Gives Glass good defensive W's, and some speed)
ZAR - Kampf - NAK
Malgin
Cody glass just made the roster in Nashville. People need to understand no teams are giving up anything positive for Kerfoot whose considering a cap dump in this market.Thoughts for a Kerfoot trade.

You probably haven't read enough. It's not serious work, the content is driven by clicks. They have a good thing going.Maybe I haven't read enough but he seems sincere to me. And since when should anyone be embarrassed by the opinions of someone who has the loosest of all possible associations imaginable (interest in the same thing)? Are people really that weak and sheepish?
Interesting question. I’d think no, because you’d just be signing him and not recalling him from anywhere.Question for those who know the cap a bit better than I do.
Could the Leafs hold off on signing ZAR until after the first game and then use the emergency recall space to sign him?
I would think the answer is no but if they could it could allow the team to keep both of Robertson and Malgin until they are forced to make a roster decision when Liljegren is ready to come back
Today is massive number of waivers day. View attachment 591943
Might be where we see a couple trades happen in the next 24 hours if/when players clear waivers. I think we see the Leafs get involved... because I don't think they have a choice anyway.
LOL don’t everyone rush at the same timeToronto has emailed around the league and made it known Simmonds is available. Return not important, trying to do right by the player as per Friedman on twitter.
I'll never understand why we gave him a 2 year deal instead of 1Toronto has emailed around the league and made it known Simmonds is available. Return not important, trying to do right by the player as per Friedman on twitter.

It seemed obvious to keep doing 1 years until we no longer needed him

I know everyone loves to claim our guys but I doubt Simmonds would be one of them tbhSo if we waived him he was less likely to get claimed. That apparently was the motive for him and Clifford getting term.

Yeah the good part is it's buriable and he can be waived, not too big of a deal overallI think they gave him 2 years to get a lower cap hit/a cap hit that was fully buriable. Rather than waive him they give him a chance to pick his spot (of teams with interest, if any) - but the risk to the leafs was pretty limited since they can and will just waive him if they have to.
I think he is still an NHL level enforcer. There are not many of them out there. I would be surprised if he cleared.Does he clear waivers?
