Yeah...

A top 4 of:

Sanderson - Parayko
Chabot - Zub

Dare to dream...
I'd trade Cat in a deal for Parayko. He could replace Tarasenko's offense if he leaves St.Louis! Some picks and stuff might be thrown in to make the deal work but Parayko is one of the few defenders I'd be down to give up Cat for

According to capfriendly he is not listed on the reserve list for Vancouver. He was on that list last year. Based on that it seems like Tryamkin's rights have expired and now he can sign with any team once his KHL season ends.
Would be awesome to take a gamble on Tryamkin. If we extend Zub, he could help transition Tryamkin in on the social end

So AGM Bruce wrote in an article yesterday that it’s highly unlikely that the Sens would trade for EK. I guess that’s it then, we can move on to another topic.

That prompts the obvious question, which piece is actually worth more, the RFA 24 year old multiple time 40 goal scoring winger, or the 29 yr old, signed long term defensive minded RHD?

I think in the end, the 15 team NTC Parayko has might get in the way of any trade limiting his potential trade value, also he's tough for a lot of teams to fit in, but he plays the more valuable position and his term could be viewed as a positive if you can't arrange an extension to DeBrincat as part of the deal.

100% agreed.

For me, given the depth we have at wing, I take Parayko every time. Unless of course we want to move Batherson since Brady and Giroux are untouchable. If Blues want Batherson instead of Cat, i'd be open to that but not sure if we have capspace to keep both Zub and Cat at that point.

A lot of HFSens was already treating EK65 like a girlfriend "we have to make him like us so he'll stay!"

And now, of course, to a lot of HSSens EK65 is now the romanticized ex "maybe he'll take us back?!"

Just let it go. It is over. It not a good fit.

Jost on waivers. Nodak kid, 2m hit. RFA. Thoughts? Playing with a bunch of alums and a young team might get his confidence back.

We're 5th on the waiver order
I was a big fan his draft year. Not sure he's a fit, maybe if Pinto had really blossomed in the 2nd line role we could try Jost as a 3rd line center, but as it stands I'd pass.

I agree with your last sentence, the rest I have no idea what you are talking about...

However, one night hookup with an ex girlfriend is sometimes fiery and amazing experience.

He's mostly just a plug at this point. Wouldn't mind adding him, but he would be joining Gambrell & Brass at the bottom of our roster. Don't think he has much more to give.

I'd take a kicker on him just so Brass plays a bit less. Its not like Brassard has been any worse, but I think Jost might be able to step up if Brass starts to severely drop in play

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez seem pretty happy in their 2nd go-around...

So AGM Bruce wrote in an article yesterday that it’s highly unlikely that the Sens would trade for EK. I guess that’s it then, we can move on to another topic.

Bruce is as ill informed as ever currently. His connections are drying up. So there might actually be truth to this.

Why else was Joseph on the 1st line other than showcasing him?

I’d literally run out of fluids if Dorion pulled this off.

Not to sound crazy but I’d include Zub in a deal if we had to. I really don’t think we’ll re-sign him. This off-season is his one chance in his career to set his family up for life and we’re going to be squeezed by 8 million in wasted contracts and buyouts.

99% of the time it is a mistake though.

What's funny is that I think Sens fans are way more emotional when speculating over a very unlikely and hypothetical Karlsson returning scenario than Pierre Dorion and Erik Karlsson would be.

It's not surprising that Dorion, as Friedman reported, has already kicked tires. If, on the off chance, San Jose is willing to retain something crazy like 50%, of course he's going reach out and have that conversation.

I think for both of them, it's all water under the bridge.

I bet Dorion would be happy to add a high-end RD like him to the roster. And I think Karlsson would be happy to come back. The $11.5M is just too big a stumbling block.

Durzi and Walker are bad defensively and not great offensively.

I doubt LA has any intention of trading Roy this year.

Methot said Karlsson would welcome a return (he still speaks with him so I imagine he's basing that on something solid) but doesn't see a fit, mostly due to the contract and the fact that the sens are currently in the basement.

I don't think this regime can pull of the Karlsson trade.

But next year when there is new ownership, and Alfie is involved, and Zub has left and we dont want to pay DBC 9 mill? Who knows.

Also EK would sell tickets, sorta important.

It seems like the finger gets pointed at those that lobby for it as worth exploring, but the hard "emotional" feelings feel like it's coming more from those staunchly opposed for non on ice reasons.

The contract is prohibitive. Maybe in the off-season it gets revisited, or even at the deadline if we crawl back into the race.

But the only way it'd be feasible is if you could bring in Karlsson at a cap hit of less than $7M per season. So you'd need ~40% retention, which I can't see happening unless you're giving up some incredible assets.

My bet is he ends up back East in the summer, but in either Detroit or Long Island. Or, as crazy as it sounds - Florida.
