Hrivik and Allen look promising. I also think Kantor can be a 4th liner relatively soon. Heart and soul player who likes to hit.

Not all of those guys will make it with the Rangers, let alone the NHL.

Both Hrivik and Fast seem to have some injury issues (both now and in the past).

Alright, Lindberg will make it. Miller will make it, and Mcilrath will more than likely make it. Fast does have injury issues. What about Kristo?

Promising but has to work on his defensive game to really get a long term shot. Hope he makes it. They need his offense.

I don't see what players like Pyatt, Pouliot and Boyle are providing over giving a few of the young guys some shots like Hrivik and Kristo.

The team needs offense and puck handling ability. Those 2 could help, no trades necessary. They add speed and goal scoring pedigree.

I honestly believe Boyle has some secret photos of Sather or something. I have no idea why he is on this team. If they move Del Z, I hope they can package Boyle with him. Just totally not worth the cap hit. Its obvious that AV doesn't like Boyle much either because he has slowly pushed him down the lineup. Its only a matter of time before he is gone.

I think Pyatt/Pouliot need to go as well.

I agree with you that they should just let the kids play. We aren't contending this year so I can deal with some growing pains.

I think switching those players out and putting the young players in would actually improve the team this year, let alone helping their development.

I'd love to see Yogan get a shot if he ever was healthy.

Solid skilled big winger with a mean streak. I'd take him over Pouliot. I'd rather have a rookie make mistakes than a seasoned veteran making the same stupid mistakes.

I think that letting any of the kids get a shot may be better simply based on them being HUNGRY.

I would love to see Yogan get a shot on 4th line.

I would love to see Miller get a shot at C soon.

& let Big Mac get a taste of the big leagues while we are at it.

Throwing young players into the fire isn't always good for their development. An example would be a guy like JT Miller… that's my opinion anyway…

Were there any big defensemen on Vancouver? Don't remember any heavy weights with Vigneaux over there. Seems like he likes the durable outlet passers more so than the stay at home defenders.

Given, Vigneaux will have to adapt to the Eastern Conference style of playing, which is grittier, and thus he'll need some of those players... but I wouldn't be surprised that Girardi will actually be parted ways with.

Overhaul seems a little strong. I'd look for Staal to be signed to an extension soon. Cally as well. Stralman to a shorter deal than both.

Del Zotto and Brassard should yield a nice solid player in return. 2nd line center is a need. Does Ottawa go DZ + Brass for Zibanejad?

3c is easier to find than a 2c. Hell, we have Lindberg and Miller in the AHL that could conceivably do a similar job to Brassard as 3c right now. Before everyone comes running with pitchforks at me for suggesting that Miller could do a similar job, I doubt Brassard would put many numbers besides Boyle and Pyatt as well.

MDZ + Brass for Zib. That gets you your longterm 2c.

Call up Miller to be your 3c. Youth down the middle for years. Put Cally with Hags and Miller and you have a genuine checking line. Balance.

I don't think the Rangers are in any position to part with Brassard as of yet. Especially with Richards more than likely getting bought out this summer.

Only way they should trade Brassard is if they have aquired another top 6 C or are packaging him for 1.

I don't mind brassard but I think he needs a sniper/finisher on each wing(& 1 on blue line would help too lol)

they had pests like Ruutu, Kesler, Bieksa, Rypien(RIP) Tanner Glass, Hordichuk

these ideas are god awful. Boyle is an asset every team wants his style of play good against the boards and a great penalty killer. Brass isn't going anywhere if he even remotely resembles last year he will be our second line center. I could see moving a defensemen this year but if we even are close to making playoffs by the deadline bet your panties the G man isn't going anywhere.

I have no problem moving any of these players. Shockingly the one I am most attached to is Boyle. Brassard is not good enough and I am not comfortable giving him the Bryan Little money he is going to want to resign. I would trade him to a center desperate team in a heart beat. (Not that the Rangers aren't center desperate either but you have to have better than Brassard).

Girardi has to go if he wants more than McDonagh, (which he will get in the open market), and he still has value.

I am very worried about Marc Staal however. I would start taking calls on him very soon.

Need to think younger. The new NHL stresses youth. Young legs. The Rangers need more size and speed. Peverley is a good 3rd line center.

Rangers need a winner in the locker room to cancel out all the old Blue Jackets. Peverley's contract is not bad for what he offers and it under team control. He would not cost a ton and would be a definite upgrade. Also if I am not mistaken I don't think Peverley is slow.

I would trade Girardi for Peverley and get one of Dallas' young RHDs to come back with him.

I agree. Not sure why people are constantly making packages for him

Everything I have read is suggesting Sather wants a young Right sided D (saw Gardinier <who is the same player as Del Zotto> and Pulock from the Isles linked prominently)

and/or a Center (saw Nelson from the Isles and Smith from the Sens) for Del Zotto. Also saw the senators pu pu platter.

I like that Sather is digging in his heels and not trading MDZ just for the heck of it. He is looking for young team controlled talent that fills a need. I would expect a return that reflects this. Not necessarily a blue chipper like Zibanejad, but young talent that fills a need and has room to grow.

Ok but Ottawa isnt moving one of their top young guys for Del Zotto no matter what Sather wants

So Hedman went down for TB tonight. Brewer is close to returning. Gudas is still out.

MDZ for Connolly + Koekoek

The Rangers get a good young forward with size and a puck mover prospect who is a couple of years away.

Change of scenery for both DZ and Connolly.

Think I mentioned that exact deal last thread - would absolutely love that trade. Koekkoek is going to be a great defenseman. Great skater, good size, fine hockey sense.

MDZ for Connolly is a deal that really makes a lot of sense. Therefore, it obviously won't happen.
