Although I would prefer a righty, Erat would be a great pick up. I'd prefer him over Cammalleri, who I brought up last night. He can slide anywhere in the top 9 on the left or right wing bumping Callahan down.

Why on earth would you prefer Erat to Cammalleri on a team with almost no finishers? In fact, Camm seems like he'd be a PERFECT for this team. Pedigree of excellent playoffs, upcoming UFA, wicked shot.
 
Does Cam play left wing? If we can't get a long term solution at LW via MDZ trade, then Cam would certainly fit in nicely with either Brad Richards or Brassard.

Where exactly is our size on this team if we acquire Cammalleri?

We'll be one of the softest teams in the league. We need size and grit more than finesse, at this point.

Someone who will park in front of the net and score the dirty goals. Clowe from 2-3 years ago.

The Rangers need shooters. They have almost no one who is a threat from more than 10ft out.
 
No way I trade DZ for Cammalleri.

He can really shoot the puck, but we do need some more size on the wings, in my opinion.

Unless the Rangers are among the NHL elite at the end of the season, I see no reason to trade for him.

Would a package of DZ+Pouliot be able to bring back a package of a RHD and a "change of scenery" center? I say center, and not wing, because at this point I believe it would be prudent to move Richie back to LW.
 
I still remember Cammalleri's performance in Montreal's 2010 playoff run. If NYR could find a way to get him to play like that, he'd be a fine asset.

Using a score to prove a point like that is inappropriate. We were bullied that entire game.

We need more size. Someone to park in front of the net and ****ing bury the garbage. How many garbage goals could we have had tonight?!

He's got a lot talent but we need more size to go along with him. Can't just add him.
