The D is bad as it is this year. We keep Girardi and pay him 6+ mil a year when he's showing signs of decline or trade him to a contender and get value for him before he walks when we aren't going anywhere this year. You make it seem like this team has a shot at the cup, when you're not winning you sell off pieces like this to better the future instead of suffering through **** hockey

Lol I've been saying this all year. Trade del zotto Girardi Callahan for 1st and young players get a top 5 draft pick draft good and start fresh.

You guys are the types of "fans" I hate being around or even associated with. No fan in my mind wishes their team to fail regardless of where it puts you in the draft order. I seriously can't stand the "what have you done for me lately" online fan with a sense of entitlement.

That's ridiculous. I don't root against the Rangers because unlike the NFL there are 82 games and a lottery. That said just because you have an overly emotional mindset when it comes to being a fan doesn't mean anyone that rationally wants the team to be a long term cup contender and is willing to suffer through bad hockey is a bad fan. It means that you have no patience and are overly emotional and can't look at things rationally.
Too many people patting themselves on the back for rooting for their team to win every game. They think that's some sort of standard of being a good fan. They're also likely to be the type that think you're a bad fan if you say anything negative about the team. Like the opposite of BRB.
Most fans, if they're serious fans, grow out of at that stage at like 15. But apparently not everyone. Then they lecture others about being bad fans.

haha you kids crack me up. Is everyone done getting their little imaginary crosschecks in? Listen, I don't post here much, but I do like to check in here and there. I open a trade thread to get maybe some info and all it is for the most part is incessant whining. I'm not happy with mediocrity and I've been watching the Rangers for 30 years. I love the game and the team. Maybe it's just an old school mentality, but as frustrated as I am as a fan, I just can't or won't wish my team to fail. That doesn't sit well with me and wanted to toss it in here.

I don't want this team to lose any game they play. But I also don't want this team to be .500 and bounced every year in the first round. With that being said I'm all for a full on rebuild but most fans can't sit through that , just because I wanna trade players and get a top draft pick doesn't make me less of a fan than anyone, in fact I feel like I'm more reasonable than most. some of you guys have become delusional with your over value and undervalue of players. Hank has a bad start trade him but has 3 good games and everyone flip flops. Nothing worse than a flip flop fan
The list is mostly correctimundo, except for Kristo, Lindberg and Fast, who may well all be here next year, and Yogan, who let's not overvalue, but he should be competing for 4th line at min. While Poo's game is better over the last wk +, Poo and also Dorsett I want to see more from, or don't hesitate to trade for picks now that are useful later.
As to the bold, yeah, but let's face it, to get a top guy like that. you have to do some of the **** I propose, and you guys mostly don't want to overpay to get anybody like that.
A while back I suggested overpaying w/Girardi + Staal + for Taylor Hall.
Value was ok, didn't happen cause he is the face of their franchise.
Oilers are none too quick about moving Hall, but under the heading of you have to give to get, they sure would have loved Staal + Girardi.
That ship has sailed.
So, what outside the box maneuver can we all (mostly) agree on?
