Speculation: Trade Rumors/Speculation Part X: Sather Falls Asleep on the Phone

Somebody I play nhl14 with from Toronto said he has heard every rumor from Girardi for kadri straight up to kadri franson pick for Girardi Callahan . But looks like we end up getting kadri

Sounds legit.

Really though, I feel like if there is a deal lined up for Kadri they were waiting until after the Winter Classic. I know that doesn't seem logical because 1.) you want to ice the best team possible to win, and 2.) the value to HBO with the drama of a trade element mid-series, but it's just a feeling I had.

Also, Brooks knew Kadri was available and said as much before anyone else did. Later Kypreos says the same thing, but adds that two GMs told him Kadri was made available to them. Since Brooks was also privy to this information I have to believe Sather was one of those GMs and it leaked to Brooks.

Well if they are waiting for cally to come back from injury to see if he's healthy could make sense. But something tells me multiple deals could happen if we get kadri. Gotta figure we'll look to move brassard for help on the wing

I don't see how that's bad. A 2C on a good contract for impending free agent on the decline. I think kadri for Girardi is good value I don't know why leafs do it since it gives them big hole at C

Take into account guys it could just be speculation from a DJ on the radio, like he could just been making possible trade scenarios hearing that Kadri might be available and Girardi too, that's how stuff like that snowballs into " omg Ottawa/Toronto radio said done deal pending physicals"

The most we get for Girardi is a 1st and mid prospect from a team like Detroit or Anaheim which will be in the 22-30 range so I'd take kadri over that who can produce right now. We Win a kadri for Girardi deal IMO

Exactly that's why I mentioned it because we all like trade speculation, not because it's a done deal. I think we end up with packages to Toronto to get kadri and franson and packages to Edmonton to get eberle or yak. (I can dream on that second one)

I think they are the same type of players, good but a little inconsistent. I just want at least a pick added or maybe even a deal like Girardi-2nd for Kadri-Biggs

i do think we could get kadri and gardiner for MDZ, Brass+ or something along those lines but some of you god help us if you guys were the rangers GM, and half of you bash slats to boot! makes it even worse what this fan base on here says..

That's possible. But like someone said previously with leafs grabbing Gleason today they could be out of it for Girardi . I'd love for us to package something for eberle honestly, I think he's in the seguin bobby Ryan mold as the next young star to be dealt.
