Rishaug on TSN said we might still be looking for a top 6 winger to play with Draisaitl. That's a shocker to me. Figured we might make one more small move but hopefully we can get something bigger done. Not sure what assets we have left to trade though lol.

I'm shocked Rishaug said that the Oilers were not done yet.

Our biggest needs going into the deadline was a 1a/1b goalie, a top 4 rhd and a top 6 winger…also a right shot 4c to actually produce. We have spent a 1st, 2nd some lesser pieces and have added a LHD who plays left a 3rd line left winger and a 4th line left winger.
So we have filled zero of the holes.

I believe strongly we add a middle six winger. I wish we knew the definition of middle six winger, but it ain't Frederic.

I know the team is making calls for a winger to play with Leon. Shit would have to hit the fan not to get one

But yeah, keeping Skinner and that defense adding a puck mover who’s a liability at the back doesn’t give me much hope we can beat the Kings in the first round much less win a cup.

Nuge isn't going anywhere because of his contract. Why do I have to being this up twice a year every year?

Skinner has an NMC. He’d probably waive to get away from Knoblauch and actually get a chance to play, but yet another signing present from Santa Jackson.

I don't hate the signing. It was smart to try. The main thing that it is only one year! The NMC makes sense because Skinner is desperate to finally play playoff hockey. I know it seems odd now, but Skinner likely turned down more money to come here.

At any rate, a bad signing doesn't have to stay bad. If we can move on from him now, it erases the flub. If we can't, then at least the deal is expiring this summer

Western teams loading up. Meanwhile, this year's TDL is shaping up to be a giant wet fart for the Oilers.

I'll reserve final judgement until the deadline is passed today, but it doesn't look overly promising atm.

Walman and Frederic are good players, such a weird vibe with some of you.
I'm still trying to understand the fit with Walman but these are two guys that can be difference makers in their roles, top 4 Dman and physical 3rd liner, that is not the definition of inconsequential players like you're insinuating.
