I suspect one of Skinner or Arvidsson would go the other way (as long as they waive their NMC).
There is zero chance Arvidsson would waive unless it was for another contender. That isn't happening.

Skinner would waive. He has full control so might insist on a contender, but as we get closer to the final hour he will likely accept a lesser team that is in the playoff mix. We'll see

Ultimately why would Skinner stay here, on a team that doesn't play him and just had Max Jones pass him by?

If Jeff Skinner waives, we can fit in Marchand 50% and also add a goalie with Pickard going the other way. (Soderblom)

At this point we don’t even know what we have in Walman, we paid a huge price for a guy that’s likely on our third pairing.

Frederic isn’t likely ready till playoffs and Jones looked good this game but the expectations are that he won’t be anything more than a 4th line guy

This deadline so far is about the same or slightly better than last years but still not enough to move the needle.

We still don’t have a player to partner with Nurse. We still don’t have a proper winger for Drai. We still don’t have a goalie that isn’t complete ass.

I hope Bowman does something and all the players we acquired pay off but this deadline has been pretty underwhelming so far.
Walman is a legit top 4 D...what are you smoking man? He may be an unknown to YOU, but Shark fans are not happy.

Instead of bidding against Carolina, I wonder if a three way with Carolina and Anaheim would work out best.

To CAR:
Gibson

To ANA:
Pickard

To EDM:
Andersen

Add picks + retention + cap relief as needed. If Anaheim takes cap from Carolina maybe Jeff Skinner will waive for Carolina.

Skinner wants to play in the playoffs so he’ll want a contender.

Arvidsson, there have been some rumours he wants out.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't that 'rumor' saying it like "If he wants out..."? Media people can just throw out ideas too. It's not just us.

Just simple logic tells me Arvidsson isn't waiving. He gets to play with Draisaitl every night. He isn't doing great but that's supposed to change elsewhere?

And even if he'd waive, what contender is taking him? He has another year on his deal and it's pricy

The NMC player to watch out for is Skinner.

then they better use his cap space
We are over the cap right now. If we are expecting Kane to come back early, the trade might be just to prevent us from exceeding the cap

Of course I'd prefer that we get another player and just keep Kane on LTIR. But, Kane still has value to us and getting him back early has value too
