Sounds like we’re done.

But I’ll keep an open mind and expect the unexpected!

At this point cap is not really our limitation…

Our picks and prospects on the other hand… ouch!

The only trade we could (or should) make is one for a guy with at least some term left…. Hmm… Like Gibson!

Reading this, it looks like at most they’re only gonna be able to get a random forward?
I like the moves so far, but potentially not getting a goalie would still be frustrating

Our biggest needs going into the deadline was a 1a/1b goalie, a top 4 rhd and a top 6 winger…also a right shot 4c to actually produce. We have spent a 1st, 2nd some lesser pieces and have added a LHD who plays left a 3rd line left winger and a 4th line left winger.
So we have filled zero of the holes.

Realistically, what do you think will happen in the next several hours?

It’d be something out of left field if we did get Gibson considering the narrative was that the front office didn’t like the goalie market. Stan and JJ’s hell bent on keeping the Skinner/Pickard tandem.

My dream of getting Vejmelka is dashed after he extended.

I mean, they still have places they need to address. They need another option in goal, and the could use another forward, but your sky is falling stuff is a bit much lol.

So does he play the right side or not? Nation guys yesterday were saying he spent most of his time on right side this year, but Rishaug is saying he doesn’t play right side
The nation guys have zero idea what they are talking about.
How could he spend most of his time on his right side when his main partner for the majority of the year was Ceci?
And then in Detroit it was Seider.

I suspect Rishaug doesn't know anything, because I don't know he watches other teams, where as the Nations guys do.

I suspect he'll play the LD with Nurse on the right.

Why wouldn't Philly ask for the moon when you have teams like Toronto and Winnipeg desperate to add key players after watching their division rivals load up?
For Laughton? Totally, no one is beating down the doors for Risto.

The nation guys routinely get basic things wrong and Rishaug would get his info from talking to the player/gm/other media guys from where the player is from.

Rishaug just wants to get the hell outta there early. Never liked him on trade deadline day as he says pretty much immediately that the Oilers are expected to do nothing.

Most is a stretch, but he was playing the right side since the Ceci trade.
5v5 he has played 62% of his time with Ceci, 8% with Liljegren, 5% with Ruuta. So 75% of his time with Right handed partners.
In his time with a right handed partner he has good metrics. Swap him to the right and he has been negative.

I mean I guess, if it's about non-Oilers players or things that happen outside of organization, I'm not trusting Rishaug to be correct.
I guess but when it’s things you can look up yourself in a few minutes the nation guys need to stop talking out of their asses. For guys who get paid to follow the team and hockey they get so much wrong.

You might want to double check those numbers while with Ferraro when he was on the right side.
