That and the fact that MSL is a superstar who just scored 4 goals in 2 games. It's not like MSL won't play for him if he doesn't get traded. He'll play and continue putting up points. Unless we trade them someone ridiculous like Kreider or something, I see no reason to trade MSL.

I can't believe Sather wants that Callahan for 6 years for 36 million. What a joke. Callahan has been an average at best 3rd liner most of the year and he'll be paid like a 1st liner. The worst is that Sather will cave after he plays hardball. If Sather signs him for that I'll join the "Fire Sather" bandwagon.

Well the rumor is he wanted like 6.75 or so. You would think that if he really wants to stay it would mean they would meet some where in the middle, so be at 6.35-6.5/year its still too much in my opinion...we'll see what Sather does

Callahan is a ****ing 3rd liner in decline. Is Sather really stupid enough to believe he's worth any of that ****? I honestly wouldn't give him any more than friggin 4 million (I don't even know what his current salary is). The only reason to make this deal is from a business perspective because casual fans think he's amazing because the garden and media pretend like he is.
