So wait we can't say he didn't look interested, or he looked distracted because thats insulting him on a personal level.

Next message you say he's not good enough to warrant that kind of investment, hmmm

That's not what i was referring to. There are people criticizing him on a personal level and others believing he owes it to us to take a discount.

This isn't bill gates we're talking about, 5 million dollars makes a difference in this guys life.

He brings home about 2 million per year after taxes and all other fees are paid. That's a great haul, but his career is about half of that of a regular person. Millions of dollars make a difference.

Discussing his play and his value on the ice is fine. His interest in the games, sure.

But the attacks on him personally have been coming in this thread. Callahan doesn't owe us anything. Just as we the franchise don't owe him anything.

If that is not what you were referring to then I apologize to you! My fault

It's a starter for NJ, a good one, for the next decade. All for a pick? The only thing it cost was "MB30"'s ego that you'd need 400 horsepower to shift.
Sorry, I thought you were saying Vancouver got a steal. We share the same opinion on this.

Though, Schneider is UFA eligible after next season, so NJ will have to pony up the dough.

No worries, I can see how it came off that way.

It's a tough situation, no doubt. I love the guy and it's a difficult pill to swallow, but we just can't sign him to a major contract. It'll be crippling and stop us from going after those guys that really can lead us to the eventual promised land.

NOOOOO I like Kesler don't go to Pittsburgh

i agree, as a fan of his id hate that.. knowing the Penguins they will get him less than the market value because of Bettman and Pierre's love for Crosby :sarcasm:

Unless we could get Kessler for cheap, I feel like trading for him could end up being a really bad move with what we actually end up getting out of him

The way Philly just bullied our undersized tough guys I'd think Sather will react by adding a big bad guy.

i wouldnt mind a Cody McLeod Kyle Clifford type forward someone that can actually play... not a goon like McGrattan

Goodbye 5th round pick for another John Scott tour of duty. While the lack of toughness was embarrassing today, far more important issues need to be resolved by Wednesday.
