Sather never makes a big deal at the deadline.. this year will be no different.
Gaborik was not a big deal![]()
I would take Kyle Clifford, pending cost
Well, I figure it would be expensive, but any ballpark estimate? Say we wanted to take the initiative and draft a guy like Reinhart or Bennett.
Stepan + high prospect + our first expensive? Or more?
A top 5 pick always takes MASSIVE overpayment, and the seller usually has to end to add to appease the buyer. In an average draft year, we'd probably be looking at something like McDonagh, Callahan, Duclair, 1st, 2nd for Edmonton's first and Boyd Gordon or someone, and a bottom line prospect.
You really underestimate McDonagh. He alone would bring back a lottery pick plus.
He's one of the best D-Men in the NHL at 23. He's worth a lot more then that.
Rangers would laugh in Edmonton's face if they offered boyd Gordon and the first overall for McD, let alone asking us to add.
Not to some in conversations with Edmonton fans they didn't think McD was that great lol

Where did Lebrun say that?Healy still saying Stewart to Rangers but Lebrun is pretty sure he's going to Ottawa.
Not to some in conversations with Edmonton fans they didn't think McD was that great lol
Almost definitely the primary reason.Lol no wonder they're one of the worst teams. Even their fans can't recognize a Norris caliber dman
LeBrun believes the Sabres may consider Stewart as a possible fit for the team's rebuilding core, given that he has one year remaining on his contract and is still only 26. However, LeBrun countered, the offers on Stewart could also be enticing to the Sabres with the Ottawa Senators believed to be interested in the forward dating back to before Friday's blockbuster.
