He's not a hockey journalist. He's just a huge hockey fan who seems to have gained some friends in extremely high places due to his love for the sport and his fame from football/radio/tv.

He broke the NHL lockout ending. That's a huge story. He was the first one to break the only major trade we've made this year. Why would you be surprised he'd be the one to break this one?

Isn't how they got Talbot?

he was an UFA out of college.. Rangers need better young goalies. you think Talbot wants to be back up or try to be a starter somewhere else soon. remember he will be an UFA next year... this is a problem that could hurt the organization.. most fans think ok lets sign some AHL goalies since we have Lundqvist, but you also have to think about Talbot's future.. why wait till next year... any young goalies from europe that can be signed? take a gamble one someone with potential, not a vet 29 30 years old that will never be an NHL player..

I haven't read this entire ridiculous saga, but I haven't seen anyone raise any concerns about getting a guy who essentially is quitting on his team because he didn't make an All-Star team. For a forum that still hates Dubinsky for holding out for a few weeks, it's odd that no one has raised that issue.

Probably because we aren't judgmental *******s who condemn someone without knowing the full story. Just a thought.

Well, next year Skapski should be in the AHL.

Posted this exact post on the Trade Boards...

EJ Hradek then went onto mention that a couple of years back that there legit talks to bring MSL to the NYR and there could be legs to it. He also said that Boomer had nothing to prove by fabricating rumors and that he must have felt comfortable enough with his source, risking his credibility to leak information like this.

Finally someone is saying it. Boomer may be wrong, but he's not an attention *****.

Not enough. The daily items to complain about are: the Jessiman pick, lack of toughness, not enough minor league goalies, not signing every undrafted free agent, Boyle not killing people at 6-7, 250, etc, etc.

yup yup. this is a juicy one though. shocked still that it even developed into what it has. Yzerman hurt his franchise by at the very least holding the Team Canada GM role. St. Louis asking to be traded abruptly is the worst thing that could have come from his decision. And it seemingly has, hahaha with St. Louis looking to jump into the Rangers laps. Its crazy. Half of what Im debating is that the fact, that yeah, as crazy as this is, this is what is happening.
