What type of value would you think the Canucks would want for EP? Something similar to the Eichel deal with Vegas a few years ago? Young player, 1st round pick, decent prospect? Eichel had injury concerns but was locked down on a better deal than EP. EP has had the better "highs", however is a bit older at time of trade...

Eichel's problem was his neck. EP's mental issues can't be solved by a surgery.

Damn. As a Canucks fan was really hoping for a deal. I've always found him overrated. As long as it is for more than miller's terrible return.
petterson for cozens+byram and before his value seemingly fell off, also a pick or prospect.

Much less.

EP40 looks broken as a player. Doesn't shoot, very hesitant, lack of confidence. Eichel never had that. Just a broken neck.

Eichel being a PPG 1C on the basement Sabres is more impressive than EP40's seasons on the Canucks.

I'm guessing teams are far lower on EP40 now compared to Eichel back then.

Its so weird he hasn't been traded yet. I wonder if teams are asking for retention and the nucks saying no and thats teams willing to take him but not at that cap hit while the nucks want the full cap hit off the books.

Dont think the Nucks will sell low on this guy. Probably let him play through the year and hope he gets his head on straight for the start of next year.

The pressure point is that his NMC kicks in this summer. There's a real risk to keeping him and hoping he plays his way out of his year long funk.

...by playing better than Pettersson??... :dunno:

By not playing a team game, playing like shit in his own right, not back checking and leaving the team for 10 games when they were tight in the playoff race.

edit: and he's a 31 year old locker room cancer who still needs to be babysat by veteran players.
