is it been confirmed that its a forward?? could it be Callahan for a dman then flip a dman on the roster like for a forward??
thought boomer said no trade with Boston? Then again he's said no to everything
Well to be fair, I don't anyone wants to scrummage through 32 pages.. lol
No to Iginla. Still no response to the MSL inquiry.Bobby Bevilacqua @rpb725 6m
@7BOOMERESIASON you say you have respect for the guy who would be coming over. Is it Iginla?
Boomer Esiason @7BOOMERESIASON 5m
@rpb725 nope.
Well I won't waste too much time speculating, it'll either happen or not, he isn't going to tell us who it is ahead of time, clearly his source did not want him passing the info along directly.
He could also have been asked to leak this to advance NYR bargaining with St. Louis Blues, as an effort to up their bid.
Michael Monaco @mikemonaco93 3m
@7BOOMERESIASON dustin brown? Not an eastern conference team but he is from the east, not losing much for either team?!??
Boomer Esiason @7BOOMERESIASON 1m
@mikemonaco93 how would you feel about that?

Brad Marchand. Someone asked about Marchant and Boomer said no. He also tweeted the Rangers possibly getting a conditional pick. It could be if the team acquiring Callahan signs him or reaches the Cup final or wins the Cup,the Rangers get a #1 or a #2 from a 3rd. Something like that. Boomer said the player would be going as a rental and Callahan is most likely headed to Buffalo in free agency. The Bruins haven't been happy with Marchand. Marchand taunted the Canucks in December when he pretended to lift the Cup skating by their bench. Julien was annoyed at him. Reilly Smith has replaced him at times in the top 6. Callahan for Marchand works cap wise. $4.5M for Marchand. $4.275M for Callahan. Boston takes on $800,000 in salary this season. The Bruins shed the remaining three years of the Marchand contract. $14M. $4.5M salary in each of the next 2 seasons. $5M in the last season. Boomer said think Carcillo. Marchand is a pain in the ass like Carcillo.

Chiarelli and Julien have been in Sochi as part of the Canadian team. They have probably watched all of the US games.
Bobby Ryan adds up on a lot of levels. NYR tried to get him for Dubi back in the day. It just makes sense..
I'd love Ryan, should have gotten him before Ottawa..
Marchand has been on fire since the Vancouver incident. Makes no sense for the Bruins.
They're not unhappy with him and he hasn't been replaced in the top 6 since October

@7BOOMERESIASON That's a tough one, he's a still a great player but 38yrs old. Cally only 29. That tells me they would keep Richards tho too

@RealPatCav you have to remember the CAP thing in the NHL. Who fits where and what are you willing to pay for?
Callahan for St. Louis makes less sense.
