This is a pretty strange situation. I don't see what sense it makes for Tampa to deal MSL. They're in the playoffs as it stands now, and they're getting their best player back from the IR shortly.

As far as the olympics bit, did Alfie play with Sweden? There was some bad blood after the Ottawa series and the Hagelin elbow. I certainly wouldn't like that deal.

Caps need a shake up. Maybe MOJO?

I still have yet to see the source for this. At some point someone said something about "under 30," but no one's quoted a tweet anywhere in this thread where Boomer said anything about the player's age.

It doesn't make a lot of sense for TB to trade MSL considering where they are in the standings, unless you take into account the fact that Stamkos probably won't be 100% for a number of weeks. They aren't winning the cup this year, probably won't even contend much. So they are hypothetically trying to add a player as a rental with intention of signing him and building for the future. Callahan fits that bill, he'd be a good get for them going forward while losing a beloved vet that gets a shot on a better team right now.
