I like the idea of someone tackling it, but am disappointed to hear that it's Nolan.

If Damon is going to be Odysseus, then probably a safe bet that Holland will be his son Telemachus, right?

if you haven't heard, Madeline Miller wrote a really good historical novel called Circe that imagines her point of the entire exchange, as well as the eons before and after. One of the most interesting themes is how she de-heroifies (is that a word?) the great names of mythology, presenting their flaws as well as their virtues.
