If it's Hartnell I'll just die. Guy is the best. Although a lot of Flyer fans would drive him to the airport, but like Cally for you guys not everything can be measured just by looking at his stats.

Captain and heart and soul or grossly overpay for a guy who doesn't produce equally to the salary he wants. You win cups with guys like Cally though.

Yeah, it's ******. But, the truth is that Ryan will get what he wants from someone in the league. He will. The question is if it's worth it to end up in a rebuilding place (like Buffalo) and "waste" your prime years with a struggling franchise. Hard to make that call if you're the player and I don't begrudge him getting his payday. NYR can't/won't meet his asking price and are prudent for doing so.

Leetch was awful. Much, MUCH worse than Callahan going anywhere.

Touché. Unless you're not a team up against the cap constantly. A team like the Devils gave out one of the worst contracts ever to Zajac but nobody cares because they aren't ever a team that's gonna spend. That or nobody cares about the devils. Hahaha

At least Philly fans are 100% behind their team. They don't struggle to sell out playoff games. :P

I'm not saying that's the direction they should be going in, but he's an awesome player.

Love St. Louis. I don't see it happening. My point was that I feel strongly enough that this trade isn't possible that I'll suffer and not watch any NYR for a year because I was so wrong.

It makes no sense for TB. A rental Callahan to replace their best player (while Stamkos is injured) just doesn't ring a bell for me.

I have a feeling it's Marchand. Left wing. They just dealt Seguin for Eriksson. Perfect Bruins 2way player. Pain in the ass.

He'd fit well too. They need another top6 LW
 
The answer to the Ott tweet was quiet hard to interpret.

I'm honestly not sure if he's saying that he just feel that way about Ott, if that's how he feels about the player coming back in the tradetoo

38 year old MSL is still a beast, an absolutely a better return than Stewart + whatever, IMO.

Honestly, although I am very future-centric right now with regards to how the team should be built, you do Cally for MSL every day of the week.
 
I can only believe that any MSL rumor is a result of some idiot not knowing St. Louis the team, not St. Louis the player was in play.

This, think Carcillo and the team at the time he played for when Ranger fans probably hated him the most. Also shocking, because of said team... I'm going to agree with those who have mentioned Simmonds, just makes the most sense. Cally seems to play his best hockey against Philly, why wouldn't they want him in a straight swap, plus conditional pick if they can get him signed to an extension.

Philly needs to mix things up, it would be a start and makes sense for both teams.. We're looking for size and grit with some offensive upside, they're looking for leadership and heart, both of which they lack badly..

It's because he's old. But yeah like I said before MSL getting traded might cause a riot in Tampa.
