No it didn't. Hfboards crashed when Luongo got traded. I kept refreshing and refreshing and refreshing and praying to god I wouldn't see:

Confirmed with Link: Callahan agrees to 6.2MX6 extension.

So far, so good. Although that's not really the case since the inevitable is bound to happen with Sather's ineptitude.

So why is it hard to understand why we don't want Callahan scoring 40 points for 6M either?

Let's not act like Callahan is such a step down on offense. With the exception of this year, a somewhat career year for Stastny, playing with two future stars, Cally's the better goal scorer. He's also one of the few players on this team that plays with size. I'm so tired of hearing how he's broken down and can't do it anymore.

If this signals a Vancouver rebuild, Torts is a happy man. This guy doesn't coach to win, but to extend his stay on a team as long as possible.

I hope uncle glen sees all these moves and wants to get in on the action.

How sad is it that we all need to hope and pray some trade saves our GM from himself.

Thanks this just almost gave me a heart attack

I was scrolling through quickly, and you just scared the **** out of me.

Boom Boom - I am holding you accountable for the cardiac arrest I just experienced.

Confirmed with Link: My bad fellows. Embrace it though.

I just REALLY want someone to come out and say "Rangers broke self-imposed deadline by 4 hours. Cally's camp wanted too much. Talks completely break down."

Wow. In a meeting and come back to see that Luongo was traded :amazed: No Callahan extension has been reported :) and no Callahan trade has been reported :(

That Luongo trade though, wow. Wonder why he agreed to go to Florida? Markstrom is a good return for VAN. He's going to be quite the netminder.

I don't think I'd mind a Cally for Kesler trade - straight up - which is what I proposed months ago.

But it seems like all parties are butt hurt. Cally/Torts and Kes/AV... no bueno for anyone.

It actually makes sense on both sides. And if we had to kick in a pick and prospect because Ryan is a UFA, that makes sense.

Also seems like thats terrible value for Vancouver.

At least you've consistently overstated Callahan's trade value.

I keep hearing Kesler supposedly didn't get along with AV. Anyone have any insight into that?

When Kesler was struggling AV was interviewed and he said that Kesler needs to use his teammates more. Then they interviewed Kesler and told him what AV said and Kesler's response was basically AV can go **** himself. There's a video somewhere.

Luongo probably thought anything but Vancouver.

Also:

Going back to Florida is big for Roberto Luongo. His wife was born there and he was training there during the lock-out.

Per Renaud Lavoie.
