Some of you guys have really lost your minds. Now Callahan is useless? He doesn't do anything to help the team?

I know I'm super far behind... I'm at work... but this just gave me a heart attack.
 
The quiet is beginning to scare me. Is it quiet because their punching out little details and have agreed to something in principle?

I just feel as if, maybe it's the pessimist in me, that if talks truly broke off, we would have heard something along those lines. In the afternoon, there seemed to be pretty steady Callahan updates. Still talking, inching closer. It's been silence since the afternoon.

Glen, wake up, bud. No afternoon naps today or tomorrow! I get that it's National Pancake Day, but come on!
 
If by some chance Cally and Kesler swaps teams .... my guess is that the deal could involve Stralman as well (don't have a guess what else Van might throw in the mix).

so you would rather resign Callahan then have Sather overpay for someone in their late 20's with a long term contract?

We might as well bench Nash in the playoffs, too, right? I mean, what's the difference anyway?

I don't even like Glen Sather but he's a ****ing rock star compared to some of the people around here.
 
I can see this all being anti-climatic and nothing happen... We let him walk in the summer and just sign Statsny instead for the same amount Callahan is asking for. Though Statsny just said he is willing to give Colorado a discount to retain him.

I've already addressed this. Everybody loves to sit back and say, "don't pay him" and then when you ask that person who they'd pay, they quickly shut up and dodge the question.

You could keep him as a rental if you really think this team is competing for the cup, but if you can get a decent return back for him, I think you're better off trading him and building for the next couple of years.

Letting him walk for nothing is not a good thing.

Oh, I don't know, save the money for the kids in the future? Got plenty of RFA years that will be running out on core players soon. You don't have to spend to the cap every year :)
