In Stastny's worst season (11-12) he was sharing most of his ice time with a decaying Hejduk and an NHL space-filler David Jones. But yeah, he's such an inconsistent producer, there's no way he would carry his weight on a good line.

I'm a HUGE fan of Zucc, and I believe in what Kreider could become.

When either one of them produces consistently for a full season or longer, I'll consider them more important short term. Obviously, CK is more important in the future, and Zucc has shown some true brilliance. Still I maintain, for the role Callahan is asked to fill, I don't see another available option, and I don't think the Rangers can succeed without some one filling it

I respect that you are a bigtime callahan fan and im a fan as well BUT i have to be fair. I mean if callahan produce more offensively then i would probably give into hsi demands. Also he does tend to get injured alot but i do respect his toughness and ability to come back early from injuries.

Sather gave Callahan a "final offer" and told Callahan he wants a 24 hour window to shop him if Callahan doesn't sign. Trade deadline is tomorrow at 3pm EST. If Callahan signs within now and 3pm EST tomorrow, its safe to infer that Sather was just posturing.
