Oh, the Kesler "rumor" was just Bob McKenzie speculating on what the Canucks might want in return for Kesler.

When quoting snyrangersblog could people just quote the original source? The site doesn't ever actually have information that doesn't come directly from another major news source so it certainly makes it easier to just quote the original

I hate him on a personal level horrible guy. Best Goalie EVER hands down..

My comment has nothing to do with personal stuff.

It has more to do with being blessed with one of the best defenses of all-time throughout the first half of his career.

“@stevezipay: Hearing it's not only $$$ that's separating NYR and Callahan, but no-trade/no-move issue. Of course, that's bargaining chip for both sides”

Will do that next time

Stepan, Miller and a first for Kesler would be a dark ages-esque move by Sather.

The Rangers aren't doing that. The Rangers gave up a similar package for Nash. When did Kesler become Nash? Kesler is a good player but he is really being pumped up by the Canadian media just like Nash was. That's what VAN wants. A center(Stepan) to replace Kesler between the ages of 20-25 which means he is under control until at least 27 plus a top prospect which is Miller because Torts likes him plus a #1. That's it? Maybe the Rangers should add a few more pieces. Ridiculous. Two years of Kesler. At least was under contract for 6 years. In two years,Kesler becomes a group III.

It's 24 hours. Issue should be closed by now.

Just trade him.

About 27 hours until the deadline. Callahan can't bog down everything else that needs to be done to improve this club.

Didn't mean to imply that I buy it. Just saying it would be reminiscent of the dark ages. Mark me down as a guy who has very little interest in Kesler.

That's what Vancouver would want, but that is awful trade for the Rangers.. absolutely awful.

Stepan is a non-starter, Miller too. I think someone is just trying to match a package that Vancouver is looking for.

Guy does a great job of drawing in visitors to his site, and asks some interesting questions, but smart he is not.

Maybe the Rangers coaching staff isn't to impressed with Stepan's on-ice decision making and playmaking ability. I know I'm not, not saying I'm advocating a trade for Kesler, just wouldn't miss Stepan all that much I guess....

If we give up a first at the deadline it's a bad move unless Jason Spezza is the return.

Ryan Kesler has to be one of the most overrated players ever. After Drew Doughty, of course.

Dude wants a no move clause ON TOP of 6/$6.3? If I was Sather I'd laugh in his face and ship him away in a heartbeat.

I don't know if questioning Brodeur's excellence is as homerish as some say. Yes, he's won the most regular season games. He's also lost the most which comes with the territory I suppose. But makes you consider winning % which tightens things up quite a bit. You also have a few guys with a better sv% or GAA. Looking at the playoffs he's certainly behind Roy and his win %.

His shutout record is truly impressive and he's definitely top 5 but it's a pretty open discussion as to who was best imo.

Yeah, this is becoming insane at this point. Rangers got to move him. I don't want Cally on the team anymore.

Cally at anything above 5 million is going to hurt this team. Cut him loose.

I wonder if Callahan laughed in Tortorella's face when Tortorella asked him to put his body on the line every single night and carry the ***** of the overpaid garbage mailing it in every night that Sather lightened Dolan's deep coffers for. Coffers that probably were quickly replenished by all the Callahan jerseys that were sold and all of the playoff revenue that Callahan played a major role in generating.

Or did he just go out and do every single thing and more that his coach, and by extension, the team, ever asked him to do?

Yeah, **** that guy.
