Bowman paid a ton of money to Seabrook. Girardi got two years of Yzerman. You're probably underselling a potential market. The return is probably meh, and probably involves equal or more cap back or a future from Montreal.

What so awful of a 1y cheap deal of Plek ? Have you sean the crap center depth this team has ? When Danault is your no1 center, you know someone in upper management isn't doing his job...

What’s awful is that he can be traded and then signed in the offseason. They shouldn’t be withholding on acquiring draft picks because of a veteran 30 point centre.

It's an option if you trade him now for assets and sign him over the summer as a UFA for 3rd line money, assuming a younger, cheaper replacement can't be had.
