Yeah, but Knies is a rare player in the NHL.

I do agree however that I'd rather give that up for a C. Like Roope Hintz.

The reason I'm saying thanks to Kent that Nurse still has 4 years left at $9M+ is because Kent was his agent and he's the one who negotiated that contract with the Oilers (I think it was Holland at the time).

42, 41, 51 EVP last 3 seasons. So he is good for 40 points at evens. With Demi he could hit 50 again. Anyone habs bring in is not getting any PP time anyways.
Does he win face offs?
If prospect and pick is something like Bach/Engstrom/Beck and this years 1st I would listen. Hage or Z much harder to make that move.
I def can see KH going in that direction a bit of a buy low situation and since he is from the area it would be good for the PR of the team.
Depends if the Rags want to get out from under his contract.
I don't think he is an elite 2C but playing with one of Demi/Cole/Slaf could probably get him to 45-50 even strength points which is pretty good for a guy that won't get a lot PP time.

Not sure they would have him spend the summer with Demidov to build a relationship with him if they were planning on trading him. That kinda indicate that they plan on him being a big part of the team in the near future.

Some of you overrate Larkin's value. He would be 30 at the start of next season. If it's one of the 2 top prospect, it will be 1 for 1.

Well that would have made the playoff run very interesting.
2 1st is hefty. Z instead of Hage pick your poision you have to move one of em to get something back. Other prospect was probably a Beck level guy maybe Mesar/Mooney/Davidson. I don't think it was another top prospect.
Only thing I don't like is giving up 2 1sts since the habs would basically go 3 drafts in a row without a 1st pick.
