Unless Larkin forces his way to Montreal, I don't think it will happen. Detroit is going to ask their division rivals to overpay for a 30 year old player, and I don't see us doing that.
with Homer the new GM of figland, no deals will be hadHughes just killed any chance it gets done at his end-of-season press conference lol.

LA needs a centre badLarkin will be traded out west.
Pelly made the weird comments and Hughes hit them at the knees with the Marner comments. I think that ship has sailed and for all we know, it might not have happened, just a guy posting it for views/clicks.The Knies trade is just a result of the Toronto media making the Leafs the main character of a story they aren't part of. So don't worry about it.
Comparing Larkin to GomezThe same who did not cared about McDonagh to whom we traded for an american, 30 years old center
Not sure if giving that much for Knies would have been a good idea. Would have been a bummer to lose Zharovsky before being able to see how he develop. But would have made the second line much better right away
larkin being on the market is great for the habs. As it dilute the market of other C that might be available , even if he wont be traded to mtlDetroit too close to canada for larkin.
The new bridge was the last straw.
Larkin will be traded out west.
I think Demi and Zharovsky are childhood friends and are just training together this summer. Don't think the Habs are forcing them to be together or anything. Not saying they will trade him but, if they're swinging for some homeruns this summer, hard to see him being safe. Not sure they would have him spend the summer with Demidov to build a relationship with him if they were planning on trading him. That kinda indicate that they plan on him being a big part of the team in the near future.
can Zhar change his mind and stay in canadaI think Demi and Zharovsky are childhood friends and are just training together this summer. f***. Knies is perfect for Demidov.
Could you imagine it went through. Now with the new GM it’s never gonna happen, f***
Way, way too much to pay. Knies would have made little difference against the tidal wave that was the Hurricanes. But for Dobes’ brilliance, the series’ result would have been even more embarrassing than it was. The only reasonable way to bridge the gap between us and the contending teams, is internal growth/improvement. You can’t trade your way to contender status.I like Knies but that's an incredibly heavy price when we still need other pieces with him
There is NO way that Hughes would pay that much for Knies. it is ridiculous. That might be what Leafs were asking forWrong, Rob Wrong...![]()
Céline does not hate. So you can’t.And I will hate st louis for the rest of his days here. Clueless stubborn peewee hack.
But improvement is incremental. A 10% improvement in the level of play of those core young players may well be enough for us to reach the finals.Obviously the finals next year would be great, but success isn't linear.

He’s also close with both HughesHe chooses his fate. He's always wanted to play with his best friend growing up Zach Werenski. I feel like he tells Yzerman trade me to Columbus and Steve has to do it.
