Reid Schaefer would be one

Svechkov another and as mentioned, L'Heureux would be another. Joakim Kemmel and then whatever prospects they might have outside of the AHL.

Reid Schaefer would be a really nice piece to acquire that might be reasonable in a deal for Matheson

I like Reid Schaefer, but if/when I'm trading Matheson, it's to acquire assets that we then flip for a medium/long term top 4 RD.

The issue is I would want a RD for Matheson and I don't think we could get a RD player/good prospect for him from Nashville. I feel like a 1st round would be too late to bring a relevant RD.
There's Carrier but he's playing top 4 for them so I guess they need him. They do have young forwards that are very, very interesting. Mainly L'heureux that I'd like to acquire. We could also grab Sissons if they want cap space, he'd be a fine 4th/3rd line addition.

Sissons doesn't move the needle for me. He's on the wrong side of 30 and not exactly a guy I'd target. Basically a warm body at this point.

L'Heureux is an ok piece, but definitely not the main target I'd have for a piece like Matheson.

I look at their list and there isn't anything that really fills a need while also being a realistic ask.

Yeah I was talking about Sissons as a dump. I'd say they have a bunch of interesting prospects and players though. Of course the crown jewel is Wood, don't think they go there. Kemell maybe more but I'm less interested. I'd say Surin, Evangelista, Svechkov, Kiiskinen, Stiga, Marques, Nilsson, O'hara, heck even Jatkola are all quite interesting to varying degree.

L'heureux, Sissons, + a 2nd? It's a pretty good return IMO. Or if yountryn

Wood + Sisson for Matheson+ I wonder if they entertain.

We could really use a 2nd line center.

Laine-Suzuki-Dach
Caufield-X-Slafkovsky
Anderson-Dvorak-Gallagher
Heineman-Evans-Armia

It's going to be interesting to see what they do with the lineup once Laine gets back & everyone is healthy. No idea where Newhook fits. I don't think they see him as center. Dach sucks as a center, too.

I like Condotta and the physicality he brings, too.
