Dach is exactly that, soft. Big guy that doesn’t play big, is lazy, and slow as molasses.

Time to find a 2c because it isn’t going to be Kirby.

Dach's play kinda sucking right now (because he's back from 1 year serious injury) doesn't mean it's never gonna improve. The question is more "what is the timeline & upside".

I think the error HuGo made is that they assumed that between Dach & Newhook they would have a 2C but none of them are there (yet ?) Monahan's age didnt fit the window and now we're at Evans 2C.

I don't blame Kirby for that but yeah if they feel it's too risky to bet on Dach getting there by next year, they should trade for a veteran 2C to stabilize the lineup and help new top 6 players break in.

Dach is not even remotely soft. He looks bad after a long layoff but calling him soft is ridiculous.
I am willing to give Dach more time for sure. At the beginning of the Season I said give him 20 games to Come back maybe it will be more.
However, I would disagree with you that Dach is not soft. He has not shown that he can play Big at NHL level yet. He avoids board battles and does not really fight for the puck ...yet ?
Not saying it won't happen but right now I would not call him tough.

Yeah. Evan should be a third line checking center. Habs really need a 2C now.
If they are leaving Dach on the wing...........................then absolutely.
Not ready to throw Dach under the bus, but he has not looked good early on.

Laine returning soon helps the PP and offense, but we do need something down the middle besides Suzuki to create plays.

I love Evans, but he's seriously incompetent offensively. Lol

He's actually on pace for a 40 pt season, though. Basically, he'd be there to help defensively and not get in the way of Slafkovsky/CC offensively.
I'm pretty sure he'd admit it himself, it's just not his natural role. He'll give it his best shot obviously, but he's not a 2C in any way, shape or form.

Heard this on the radio the other day.

Zegras for Dach

What do you people think?

Personally, I'd keep going with Dach but I will admit I haven't watch Zegras play at all this season.

But some people were willing to pull the trigger as Hab fans.
