Yeah. Evan should be a third line checking center. Habs really need a 2C now.

Dach is not even remotely soft. He looks bad after a long layoff but calling him soft is ridiculous.

Dach is exactly that, soft. Big guy that doesn’t play big, is lazy, and slow as molasses.

Time to find a 2c because it isn’t going to be Kirby.

He is not wrong you are. Dach is soft. Je doesnt hit, he doesnt grind, he doesnt hustle. He has absolutely not shown once this year that he isnt soft.

Dach's play kinda sucking right now (because he's back from 1 year serious injury) doesn't mean it's never gonna improve. The question is more "what is the timeline & upside".

I think the error HuGo made is that they assumed that between Dach & Newhook they would have a 2C but none of them are there (yet ?) Monahan's age didnt fit the window and now we're at Evans 2C.

I don't blame Kirby for that but yeah if they feel it's too risky to bet on Dach getting there by next year, they should trade for a veteran 2C to stabilize the lineup and help new top 6 players break in.

I hate Renaud as much as the next guy but I was coming on this thread saying we should absolutely go after this guy. Can you imagine a 4th line with him, Tuch and Florian??? What a f***ing nightmare for the opposing teams
