He's also not a player I'd want Montreal to target in a trade, but that doesn't really matter.

Yeah I agree. Necas seems too soft for me. Costs be high to acquire him. I'd rather not go there

Yeah scoring is still way up. Still in the habit of seeing anything under .905-.910 being bad but that's just not the case

In this case, no. You want him to clear so Carolina is stuck with a vet goalie to send to the AHL without any AHL affiliate. They have to loan him to team and then Hughes can accepted to take him for free to help Dobes with the Rocket.

I just saw this. There have been rumors Carolina have been looking at addressing their goaltending. So curious what they have planned by placing Raanta on waivers.

There is the holiday trade freeze coming up between December 20-27. So last day a team can make a trade before Christmas is the 19th (Tuesday).

Which is why we should be targeting Nemec with everything they ask for a run this year.

I'd do CC + Monohan + Xjackeye for Nemec + Mercer

Everybody on the Habs sucks and our players would barely get a 4th rounder in a trade, maybe a 3rd if they're lucky; yet, there's somehow 10 other teams doing worse in the standings.

At some point, you'd think people would wise up, and realize how silly their evaluations are.

At some point, you'd think people would wise up, and realize how silly their evaluations are.

It’s ridiculous but it’s based on two things:

1. Most fans on the main boards evaluate entirely on offensive stats and add no context

2. Most fans on the main board hate the Habs and feel better about themselves when they belittle and devalue the Habs. It’s sad and it makes it not worth reading.

There aren't enough goalies available to accomodate the 10 teams that need goaltending. He is still better than a lot of teams goaltenders. if a team can take his whole cap then Habs could take a 2nd or 3rd for him.
