you miss the point, clearly.Waste of time. Get Heineman here, see what he has. Give Farrell a few games. Waive Pezzeta.
ACSHULLYGuhle is closer to 22 YO than he is to 20 YO
...you want to retain on Anderson and handcuff the Habs for years!?! For Mercer...If New Jersey want to get tougher for the playoffs:
To MTL: Dawson Mercer
To NJD: Josh Anderson (50% retained) + ?
The question becomes, what's the question mark. Calgary's 1st? Engstrom? Bogdan? Farrell? Mesar? Ylonen?
He needs a reset. Coincidence or no I was reading about Guhle talking about wanting to be more physical. It seems his game fell off ever since. Robidas should take him in hand and explain to him his best game is based on great positioning poaching pucks and turning them back up ice. The physical stuff will come when he matures in a couple of years. I don't think his frame has reached it's optimal proportions yet and isn't one that will strike fear in the opposition.Nashville believed that they had a lot of defensemen.

Well, there's a risk Anderson is untradeable. So if that becomes the case, we'd be handcuffed with 2.75M instead of 5.5M, plus Anderson wouldn't be taking a spot in the top 9 away from a young player....you want to retain on Anderson and handcuff the Habs for years!?! For Mercer...
My bad. Just remembered Vrana had 50% retained, so he's only around 2.6 cap hitWouldn't mind him, but if I'm Hughes I'm not taking him on for free.
Getting some draft capital, or sending Armia their way.
Didn't he sign an 8 year deal? How many years are left on that?Well, there's a risk Anderson is untradeable. So if that becomes the case, we'd be handcuffed with 2.75M instead of 5.5M, plus Anderson wouldn't be taking a spot in the top 9 away from a young player.
Well said.also very curious as to how adding Anderson would make a team "tougher for the playoffs". I think that the PF narrative ship has sailed for Anderson. He's more Rene Bourque than Tom Wilson and I would imagine most GMs are figuring that out

Armia costs more and has another year.Vrana for Armia. C'mon Blues. You love players like Armia. Do it!!!
I don't listen to anything Elliott says until his Positivity meter hit 95%.Vrana wasn't waived, but rather could be involved in a deal.
Could is very week, just a suggestion by Friedman.
They'll get better offers at the deadline than Armia...Vrana for Armia. C'mon Blues. You love players like Armia. Do it!!!
He looked great early on with Washington and then just fell off a cliff.I was higher on Vrana than Pastrnak at the draft in 2014, I was legit pissed we he got picked ahead of us. I really wonder what went wrong with the guy.

I'm ready to move Anderson because the risk is if he doesn't bounce back, we're stuck with Gallagher and Andreson taking up 12M in cap space for 3 more years after this one. We could use his cap space to sign a good player. And, I do want Ylonen and Roy, and possibly RHP, to get top 9 minutes going forward.I don't really understand the logic behind this argument. We don't know if Anderson is untradeable or not. It doesn't sound like he is based on reporting.
I also don't see how he's "taking a spot in the top 9 away from a young player". 5v5 the only young guy he could possibly be blocking from a top-9 spot is Ylonen, and its certainly seems like Anderson isn't the reason why Ylonen wasn't/isn't getting opportunities.
I generally don't get why people want to trade Anderson now. For all his clear faults, he's also been one of the unluckiest shooters in the NHL (1st/2nd per Sportlogiq, 3rd by Moneypuck). Why would you want to sell low when there's no immediate pressure and the flat cap environment ends after the season?
Anderson is not untradeable the Kings will be looking to trade PLD before his full NMC kicks in on July 1st so there is always that option.Well, there's a risk Anderson is untradeable. If PLD's contract becomes a bad one, sure we could trade Anderson for a bad contract.Anderson is not untradeable the Kings will be looking to trade PLD before his full NMC kicks in on July 1st so there is always that option.

He had chemistry with RHP. So, as it stands now, you just hope RHP-Monahan-Anderson, RHP-Dvo-Anderson, or RHP-Evans-Anderson could work.Problem with Andreson for me is that he never develop any chemistry with a C since he got here. If We move ahead with Suzuki and Dach on the two top line, that mean he has to play on the 3rd at best. That is quite a big cap hit on a 3rline guy.
