I always wanted us to get Byram!I can't believe Colorado traded Byram!
But I guess young centers have a higher price than wingers like Lehkonen.

They need depth. They’re likely going to load up McDavid and Draisaitl together in the playoffs as it seems like that what’s McDavid wants. Add Hyman there and you’ve got a terrific line but the bottom parts have to be fleshed out as well. That’s a weird one. I thought the last thing they needed was another centre.
Lehkonen did not have a 59 points season under his belt and was older and yeah not a center.I always wanted us to get Byram!

Hughes wouldn't have waived Johansen, he's an old vet and he would be the Habs 2nd line center right now...I want us to do what Philly did in the Walker trade. Get a 1st or a good draft pick even if it means taking a bad contract back. And then putting the bad contract on waivers and in Laval.
We could do that with Savard, Anderson, Armia, Allen, and Dvo.
I don't think he's better than Newhook or even Evan's at this stage of his career.Hughes wouldn't have waived Johansen, he would be the Habs 2nd line center right now...
Old vets + MSL, he's getting his 20 games to show he can still play...I don't think he's better than Newhook or even Evan's at this stage of his career.
Full no-trade clause and he only wanted to go to Florida because his wife and kids live there. There was nothing to bargain for Ottawa to raise his price tag.I can't believe Tarasenko went for such a low return. Sure the Rangers were bad in the playoffs last year. But that's not all on Tatasenko.
The guy is on pace for 23 goals and 53 points! And he helped the Blues win the cup! The market easily forgets.

Very true. I like MSL. But this is one thing that drives me bananas.Old vets + MSL, he's getting his 20 games to show he can still play...
MehNot going to lie, I really wanted Mittelstadt. Damn Colorado.
Tarasenko had nmc clause. He could basically pick and choose if and where to be traded. Sens had no negotiating power.I can't believe Tarasenko went for such a low return. Sure the Rangers were bad in the playoffs last year. But that's not all on Tatasenko.

Georgiev needs to figure things out before I believe in the Avs as faves. I still have Dallas as the best team in that division.Colorado will be hard to beat.
The east hasn't bulked up at all yet. Boston, Toronto, Tampa, Canes, Rangers....it's going to take some additions to get by Colorado, Vancouver, Edmonton.
SAD that col, van and edm are all the west.Colorado will be hard to beat.

There was no real rush to trade Cutter Gauthier to Anaheim. With the season he is having in the NCAA, Brière could had got way more than Drysdale.I would have no interest in a player who has had a number of concussions at his age. Just like no interest in Drysdale since he is always hurt.
Habs have enough injury prone players.I really wanted Byram!
